And the effort that is put in Rudra's character- both by the story and the actor- SHOWS! And overdramatic- and NOT overbearing- it can be sometimes- but I think most of the audience - whatever little there is- is sticking to the show because of that!

No one is hounding anyone here, unless there is a parallel thread Im unaware of.

On the contrary it seems like a few have just been waiting for an opportunity to turn this to a different angle/

And people still dont seem to understand my issues with Rudra's character. ashish is doing a brilliant jpob with it, it is the character I cant empathise with. sadly most cant understand the difference between 2.

Once again- if the character of Rudra is that awesome why does it struggle to get ratings? because other characters also need to show progress.

When you work in the midst of strong performances, you have to be very protective, very diligent and very alert about the impact your character has on screen. This is of course the most unpopular conclusion, but I can't help feel it that at times, Sanaya takes Paro's role for granted

That is because she is a Director's actor, as claimed by some ppl ,, personally i find this term so overrated n illogical,, I am too a professional.. i wont ever compromise on the profile which i hav been promised,, ( i assume that sanaya was offered a very enticing role initially)
some adjustments r bound to happen owing to the changing dynamics.. but NOT beyond a certain point,, i am working for myself n my manager is working for himself,, ok my ultimate objective shd be to contribute towards the organisation first but not at the cost of my job,,
i hav said this earlier too ,, this isnt about ONLY money,, there shd be some creative satisfaction too,,
may be i am wrongly mixing my profession with that of acting,, but at the end of a day,, evn an actor is a human,, 🤔

progress hai na,baaki characters main bhi prigress hai

Mohini--Present and have more than half of the episode.
Danveer--present and have one liners in every episode
Mythili--present ,one line and smiling and holding her odhini.
Sumer--staring all the time and once in a while punching bag.
Dilsher-theerthyaatra,never to be seen again.
Samrat--Jaipur never to be seen again.
Sunehri-college never to be seen again

Thakur sa--on the run and never to be seen again.
Thakurainsa--on the run and never to be seen again.
Mamisa-Birpur,never to be seen again.
Aman--haven't seen him in a long time.

See How deep the progress is??
Looks like budget cutting session has started with Nautanki films.

ST-where is everyone??

I think everyone is expecting simple answers to a very complicated question. I don't think it is either or Rudra or Paro. This blame game doesn't make any sense to me because they are totally two different people. What do we expect from Paro she is who she is her character is not complicated like Rudra what more else do we need to know about her. If your argument is you don't get her because she is not like you or anyone you know that is one thing but i am baffled if people think they don't understand her motivations. The problem is not the focus the question what is there to explore, Paro is a clear water stream we have seen it all and Rudra is bottomless well. So just giving Paro more screen space, more monologues, more flashbacks isn't going to make no difference to me because I have seen all she has to offer. Rudra is way more complex infact it is him I don't get why he does what he does that is why he is more focal point of the show, it is like gravity pull towards the unknown where Paro is a known quantity. The show is competing against well established shows in this time slot. I don't want to compare but I personally rather watch RR than the other shows and I do. Yes the sad truth is majority of Indian audience like saas bahu types look at all top shows, look at what happened to JA, here is where RR is different why would I complain. I personally hate that over glorification of females as if they are some goddess can do no wrong and all the crap gets dumped on males. RR is not like that it is very fascinating considering the darkness of Rudra character they don't over glorify Paro he doesn't get dumped on he holds his own and he has his own story. All the top shows are like this i simply don't get it because it is against my taste to watch a woman cry all day the male leads don't even exist. So in conclusion RR is awesome please writers just stick to your story don't listen to us whining lolzzz because we don't know what we are talking about this is your story your conviction just be true to it doesn't matter how long it lasts well it does to you I hope it lasts long for your sakes but for however long it is the story you wanted to tell and we can enjoy the ride don't bow down to audience pressure because this is not our story.

Sorry NB- I am not trying to turn take your thread into a different angle- and I was just stating that I am scared that saying something about Sanaya might have its side effects- as I've seen in this forum- 'hounded' was not I actually meant!
And yes the Character RUDRA- well- there have been overdramatic moments- I have not personally related to those moments as well. But in my opinion - its still an intense and fascinating character- which is drawing and retaining the audience. It might not be the TRP audience- I am sad about that- coz at the end of the day- that is what matters!

Its very clear that Rudra is an author backed role. That makes for some sumptuous dialogs, scenes and expressions. Add to that, Ashish spared no expense in the beginning to get the character right down to growing the moustache to make the role more believable. Yet, at times, we get too much of a good thing and we blanch, which is what many are experiencing with the "overbearing" presence. I can totally see that.

Paro's character is an afterthought, in my opinion, a role solely written to prop and highlight the angst of the male character, to give Rudra vent and give him reason to show his varied reactions and pain. Sanaya has worked her usual acting chops to make it work but perhaps, asking the director to make the role meatier might not be a bad idea. She is not a wet behind the ear actress, she has a standing and a certain credibility in the industry and I am sure if she asks for more clarity in characterization, the production team would sit up and listen. I don't doubt her acting abilities one bit, but I do think the pH and actor need to sit down and make Paro stand out.

As for hounding, I know I am poking a hornets nest and its fine. The point of the thread is debate, this is my perspective, and everyone can agree or disagree with reasoned posts.

Hey eve! What up!😊

See "screen time/space" is different from their weightage. Technically Paro was "present" during the hate wedding. She was on screen. She had but one dialogue. If Paro cries, and faints, and such, she's there. What impact does she make?

@SJ: Reg Sanaya, I just think she's too unsure of Paro to ask too many questions. If she's not getting/relating to the character herself, and she's off all platforms that regularly follow shows and provide feedback, there's little grounds there. I say "regularly", because she may have professional acquaintances to provide feedback on her performance, solely. Maybe they ignore the overall impact of the character Paro in the show. As Paro, whatever she's doing, I do appreciate her acting. But the greater harm is borne by the storyline.

does anybody give any attention at all , i feel it is like planting 4-5 plants which ever one turns out to be healthy , they then concentrate
i think this is a success driven industry ,once the show is successful then people give attention, my only issue is with the definition of sucess , trp i think is not fair
not because it is not a good proxy , but because the stalk holders are losing focus cos of it , it is a loss loss situation
i agree with the paro's characterization part , totally skin deep
but i also dont find rudra's character any interesting
he is just another guy who is doing some thing or the other to retain his job that's all

Hello All.

Thanks for commenting. I have asked for this thread to be closed.

My discussion was about lack of character development not about the actors playing those characters. And sadly Many who like Rudra haven't understood the point I was trying to make. I won't be able to Moderate the discussion in this thread anymore so it's best this thread is closed.
