Nora Fatehi has shared a detailed account of a serious road accident she was involved in Mumbai on Saturday afternoon, calling the experience frightening and traumatic. The actor said a drunk driver rammed into her car, leaving her with injuries and a concussion. Despite the incident, she went ahead with her scheduled stage appearance at a concert headlined by DJ David Guetta later that evening.
Hours after the crash, Fatehi addressed fans through Instagram Stories and confirmed she was recovering. Police officials also confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused driver for rash and drunk driving, and that he has been taken into custody.
Describing the moment of impact, Fatehi said another vehicle hit her car with force, causing her to be flung across the seat. “Hey guys, I’m just coming here to tell you guys that I am okay. Yes, I was in a really serious car accident today in the afternoon. A drunk person that was driving under the influence smashed my car and unfortunately, the impact was quite severe and it flinged me across the car. I bashed my head on the window," she said.
She added, “I’m alive and I’m well. Except for some minor injuries, swelling and a slight concussion, I’m okay. I’m grateful for that. That could have ended terribly, but I came to say this to say that this is why you should not not drink and drive. I hate alcohol to begin with."
Mumbai Police confirmed that Fatehi was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors found her condition stable. “She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for first aid, where her condition was confirmed to be stable. A case was registered against the intoxicated driver, and he was taken into custody," a police official said.
Speaking further, Fatehi reiterated her stand against alcohol use. “You should not drink and drive. It’s 2025. I cannot believe that this is even a conversation," she said, adding that she was shocked such an incident could happen in broad daylight.
Calling the crash deeply distressing, she said, “I’m not going to lie. That was a very scary, terrifying, traumatic moment. I’m slightly still traumatized."
Despite the pain, Fatehi chose to continue working. “I don’t let anything get in the way of my work, my ambition, and any opportunities that I get," she said, urging people once again to avoid drinking and driving. Police said the investigation is ongoing while the actor continues to recover under observation.
