Since this is "Daily Episode Discussion" thread, let me talk about something which was shown in the last episode.
In 6 Feb episode, it was shown how Vishwamitra became a sage.
Let me write what Valmiki Ramayan says about this.
Vishwamitra's warriors tried to capture Nandini. Nandini produced many warriors. Vishwamitra's army was defeated.
Vishwamitra did tapasya and got the knowledge of various divine weapons from Lord Shiv. Having gained this knowledge, he again tried to capture Nandini. This time, Nandini's power was not enough to protect her because Vishwamitra knew the use of divine weapons. Therefore, Vashishth protected Nandini. Vashishth neutralized all the weapons of Vishwamitra using his brahm-dand (the rod, which brahmins keep).

true but the struggle between Viswamitra and vasistha over Nandini went on for a long time. After a second defeat, Viswamitra went back and worked hard to attain more power, thn he again tried to take away Nandini. He failed agian. it was then that he felt how weak he and all his newly acquired power was compared to the strenght of mind of RIshi Vashistha. SO he went for long tapasya to attain BRAHMAGYAN. Once he attained supreme knowledge[🤢], viswamitra sought to find retribution of his previous hararsments in hands of Vasistha. teh rivalries of Viswamitra and Vasistha is the most talked about rivalry in the epic which was dragged even during the age of mahabharata.[Vishu did a lot of bad things to Vashista, and i am not feeling to describe thema ll today as i have mostly forgotten all😃. According to Mahabharata, his greatest ill will was done when by his interference All of vashista's descendants were killed except for a very young Grandchild NamedParashar. And we all know whom rishi parasar fathered😉

You are right. I wrote in very brief. If somebody is interested, then I can write in more detail about the fight between Vishwamitra and Vashishth.

Note: - It took me a while to understand whom you were referring to as Vishu. 😆

Yes the rivalry between Vishwamitra and Vashisht is legendary. But its took a Ram to bring them together !! 😛
Ram was a student to both of them and yet they never expressed their rivalry thro him - so Ram had the ability to bring both their conflicting attitudes into himself and contain them and he gained knowledge from both of them (ok ok ok - i know the by the time Vishwamitra met Ram he had mellowed down considerably)

Another interesting fact - Vishwamitra was called Vishwarath - when he was a kshatriya. Ma Gayatri named him Vishwamitra bec by giving the world the Gayatri mantra he became a friend of the world.

As you said, the rivalry between Vishwamitra and Vashishth was over before Ram incarnation started.

Hi, I'm not sure I understand what you are talking about here. Why did Vishnu kill Vashita's decendants and who did Rishi Parasar father?

by vishu she meant Vishwamitra... not Vishnu

rishi Parashara was the father of Vyasa, the author of the Mahabharat.

Ved Vyas's father was Parashar. Parashar's father was Shakti. Shakti's father was Vashishth.

Those sages lived for very long. Vishwamitra was at the time of Harishchandra and also at the time of Rama. So many generations passed in between.

indeed. I mean Harischandra was like the greatgrandfather of Ram. 😕

Do you know why they lived so long? Or how they did that? I mean it was not only one rishi, but a lot of them, like Vashist and others.
