Mighty glad my dear friend. There is also a raas performed by all in this holy place. The queens were so proud that they went and asked kanha that this surely would be the greatest and most beautiful raas :). Krishna simply smiled and told them to go and ask Radha. I will tell you what she said tomorrow. That description she narrates is really beautiful which brings out the essence of kanha during Vrndavan and of Vrndavan itself!!! I actually love the desp in this entire book. :)

So lets all come back to the actuality as per our puranas.

As i had mentioned, I am going to narrate what Sri Radha said when the Queens thought that the rasa at Siddhasrama was the most grandest one.

As stated in my previous post, Shri Krishna smiled and asked his Queens to go and ask this question to Sri Radhe.

So they went and told Radhe how proud they were that this rasa dance was the most beautiful and magnificient one. "So what do you think, Sri Radha", asked Rukmini.

Sri Radha laughed gently in Her heart and said, "Many girls came to this dance, but it is not the equal of the rasa dance in Vrndavana. In this place, where is the Vrndavana forest, filled with splendid trees, flowering vines bowing down in ecstatic love, and bees intoxicated by drinking honey? In this place, where is the beautiful Yamuna river, carrying many flowers as it flows like a line of poetry, and filled with swans and lotus flowers? In this place, where are the madhavi vines bowing with many flowers? Where are the birds lovingly singing with sweet voices? Where is the cooling gentle breeze carrying pollen from the lotus flowers? In this place, where is Mount Govardhan, rich with fruit, flowers, and caves everywhere, and standing with its beautiful peaks like a great elephant?"

"Where are Krishna's decorations - his flute, stick, peacock feather, forest-flower garland, and his fragnant curly black hair as He sits in the gentle breeze by the Yamuna's beautiful sandy shore? Where are the swinging earrings on His handsome cheeks? Where are the wandering bees greedy after the sweet fragrance of His flower-petal ornaments? Where are His loving glances when He appears in this way? Where is the happiness of His touch when He appears in this way?"

"Where is the sweetness of his side-long glance? Where is His tugging with both hands? Where is His placing in the hand a gift? Where is the pastime of hiding in the forest groves? Where is the pastime of suddenly meeting him face-to-face? Where is the pastime of tugging our saris? WHere is the pastime of stealing his flute? Where is His again and again holding the arm anointed with sandalwood paste?"

"My Heart cannot be happy where there is no Vrndavana forest, and where these pastimes are not present."

When the Queens heard Sri Radha's words, they became filled with wonder and joy. They gave up all the pride that they felt in their own rasa dance. Lord Krishna had tears in his eyes when he was listening to Sri Radha. Lord Krishna then took the gopis and queens to Dvaraka. He built many palaces for Sri Radha. He gave comfortable homes to all the people of Vraja.

As per padma purana ( as people already knew that Krishna was not an ordinary person and a God child) he did say to her parents that they got married in heaven. Here there was no indication of anything of her relationship with abhimanyu aka ayan. This purana does not have much details or stories like the other two puranas that you mentioned.

Perhaps no other faith glorifies the notion of love as Hinduism. Classical love legends from Hindu mythology and folklore of India are both passionate and sensuous in content and never fail to appeal to the romantic in us. These fables stretch our imagination, engage our emotions and, entertain us.

The Radha-Krishna amour is a love legend of all times. The allegorical love of Radha has found expression in some great Bengali poetical works of Govinda Das, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, and Jayadeva the author of Geet Govinda. Krishna's youthful dalliances with the 'gopis' are interpreted as symbolic of the loving interplay between God and the human soul. Radha's utterly rapturous love for Krishna and their relationship is often interpreted as the quest for union with the divine. This kind of love is of the highest form of devotion in Vaishnavism.

Radha and Krishna grew up together and wanted to be together forever, but the world pulled them apart. He departed to safeguard the virtues of truth, and she waited for him. He vanquished his enemies, became the king, and came to be worshipped as a lord of the universe. She waited for him. He married Rukmini and Satyabhama, raised a family, fought many great wars, and she still waited. So great was Radha's love for Krishna!

One day the two most talked about lovers come together for a final single meeting. Suradasa in his Radha-Krishna lyrics relates the various amorous delights of the union of Radha and Krishna in this ceremonious 'Gandharva' form of their wedding in front of five hundred and sixty million people of Vraj and all the gods and goddesses of heaven. The sage Vyasa refers to this as the 'Rasa'.

The childhood meeting of Radha Krishna is much debated but the story goes something like this, when Yashodha ties Krishna to the pounding wood for his mischief, any other child would have wept for the mother to come and untie him but divine Krishna uproots the pounding stone with his strength and dragged it along with him as he went out. Two girls came that way and they noticed Krishna. The younger girl Lalita was his playmate. The older girl was about 12 years of age. He did not know who she was but he was just drawn to her. She was Radha.

A song by Sant Surdas --

Krishna looking at a mirror in his hand, asks Radha, ‘between the two of us, whose face is better?’ Radha, the devotee replies, ‘Don’t you see the obvious?! My face is like the full moon and yours is like the dark night (both compliments each other as the moon cannot be seen without the night sky and the night sky is so vacant without the moon!).’ She continues, ‘Your eyes are beautifully defined by black Kajal, while my eyes are pretty because your image reflects in my eyes. Also, you only lifted the Govardhan hill on your little fingernail, but I carry you, the lifter of Govardhan in my heart!’
