Very beautiful stories Gayatri, reading these two stories with a smile on my face! 🤗 Thank you for sharing.😊
Nidhivan is a very beautiful kunja in Vrindavan. According to Vishwanath Chakravarty Thakur when Lord Krishna left Rasalila to find Srimati Radharani, this is the place where it had happened. Vishwanath Chakravarty Thakur wrote a story Svapna Vilas where he explains the pastimes of a dream.
In Nidhivan, there is a very beautiful temple called Ranga Mahal where Radha and Krishna would go to rest. Vishwanath Chakravarty Thakur explains that once when Srimati Radharani was resting here, she had a dream.
She woke up and said to Krishna, “I have to tell You the dream that I just saw. You have shown me so many different ways you appear in this world but the form I saw in this dream was very special. I saw a beautiful golden form, more beautiful than any other incarnation. This form was dancing ecstatically on the banks of a river which looked exactly like Yamuna and a forest which looked exactly like Vrindavan. And I saw all around were thousands of people chanting and dancing. It was the form of a Brahmin chanting with His arms raised. He was flooding the whole universe with love of god. Sometimes this golden bodied brahman was crying out. O My Lord Krsna! Where are You and sometimes I heard him crying out, O My beloved Radha! Where are you.
And when I saw Him chanting like this I felt He was You. Can you tell me who is this person?”
Krishna lifted his Kaustubha mani and told Srimati Radharani to look within it.
When she looked within it she saw the exact same pastime.
Srimati Radharani said, “Now I can understand that both of us are going to combine. The two of us are going to incarnate in this age of Kaliyuga to spread Our love throughout the world through the congregational chanting of Our holy names.” Around 500 years ago, Lord Caitanya came to deliver us. To give us Love for Krishna. To give us the Holy Name. He came not to punish but to forgive and give us a chance to move ahead in our spiritual life so we can go back to Him.
Another loving pastime :) :)
Once on the day of Diwali, in the month of Kartik, Radharani and gopis assembled together at Malyahari kunda. Krsna’s parrot, Vicakshana, informed him. Krsna came to Malyahari kunda and there he found Srimati Radharani and Her sakhis making pearl necklaces.
Krsna requested from Radha and gopis if He could have a few of those pearls to decorate His most favorite cows, Harini and Hasini. But the gopis refused. Krsna pleaded with gopis, pleaded, “Please give me some pearls for my cows.” Lalitha sakhi went to the body of the bag of pearls and found one broken little piece. And she said, “You can have this.” Shyamasunder was very unhappy. So He went home and told mother Yashoda that, “I want to grow a garden of pearls. Please give me some pearls to plant in the ground.” Yashoda responded that, “O Gopal, you don’t understand.” And then she laughed that, “Pearls do not grow on trees. Pearls come from the ocean.” And Gopal insisted, “No, they will grow if I plant them in the ground. I have seen my father growing. I have seen him put seeds in the ground. Pearls, like seeds, I will plant.” Krsna then plants Pearls
He insisted, and Yashoda, to satisfy his heart, gave him some pearls. And he brought them near the bank of Yamuna and dug little holes in the ground and put the pearls in and then buried them, and then told Madhumangal to go to the gopis and request some milk to water His pearls.
So gopa Madhumangal went to Sri Radharani and gopis and requested some milk to water Krsna’s pearls and the gopis simply laughed.
That’s all they gave Him, was a laugh. So Madhumangal returned.
Krsna then went to mother Yashoda and requested some milk. She supplied all the milk he wanted and he went, and profusely milked the ground on the bank of Yamuna where he planted the pearls.
After a few days, a little green shoot came out of the ground. And Krsna was so happy. He told gopis and the gopis came and looked at the shoot and they laughed, and they said, “Those are thorn shoots, not pearl shoots.”
A few days later, a creeper grew that was covered with an immense quantity of large, beautiful, multi-colored pearls. Those pearls were so special that they filled the entire Vrindavan dham with an ambrosia-intoxicating fragrance.
Krsna was laughing and joking to the gopis that, “My pearls are so big and so colorful and so fragrant compared to yours all.” So the gopis became quite competitive. And they had a meeting together. And they vowed to make a garden that would grow better pearls than Krsna’s.
So all of their pearl necklaces were planted in the ground. And then they went to their parent’s house and took every pearl from all of the houses of their families. Then they planted those pearls. And three times a day, every day, they watered the pearls with milk, yoghurt, butter and ghee.
And after a few days, a little shoot came out of the ground. And they became very excited. And a few more days passed, and there were thorn bushes.
When Krsna and His gopas saw those thorn bushes, they became ecstatic. They laughing and joking. And Krsna really wanted to humiliate the gopis.
He and His cowherd boyfriends made pearl necklaces out of big, beautiful, multi-colored, fragrant pearls, and they made pearl necklaces for every cow in Vrindavan. For every buffalo, for every goat, for every sheep. In fact, in all Vraja dham, every monkey had a pearl necklace. But He would not give a single pearl to the gopis.
The Loving Exchanges Between Krsna and the Gopis --
So the gopis were in a lot of anxiety, because they took all the pearls of their parents’ homes. And now they all turned into thorns. What were they going to tell their parents? So they sent Chandramukhi and Kanchanalata, two gopis, with gold, to barter gold for a few of Krsna’s pearls.
Krsna looked at them and said that, “Even the Kaustubha Mani of Lord Narayana is not worth a fraction of the price of the fraction of one of my pearls.”
Then each gopi came one by one to try the barter. Whatever they had, for some pearls of Krsna. Srimati Radharani was hiding in a private little kunja, where Krsna could not see Her. But she could hear everything that was being said. And each gopi, individually was coming.
Krsna had a large box of these pearls He grew. But no matter what they would give, He would not even release a single pearl. Finally, Krsna told Vishaka gopi, He said, “I will give your Radharani the smallest of all my pearls, and She has to pay Me whatever price I ask immediately, otherwise I will put Her in a prison of one of my private kunjas.”
So nothing was working. There was a big argument. Raghunath Das Goswami goes into nice detail about that loving exchange of arguments. And then Subala was brought in as the mediator because it was like one of those conflicts where they could not make a negotiation. So Subala was the mediator. Continued, and in the end, they could not agree on any price.
Radharani was listening to everything. The other gopis, very sad, they came with Srimati Radharani and came to Sri Radha kunda.
Krsna’s Gift And Radharani’s Reciprocation --
When the gopis were at Radha kunda, Krsna took the best of all His pearls, and with His own hands, He strung the most elegant necklace. Then He put that necklace in a golden box. And with His own loving hand, engraved the name of Sri Radharani on that box. Then He made another necklace of pearls with His own hands and put it in a golden box and put the name of another gopi.
In this way, He made boxes with gifts of handmade pearl necklaces for all of Radharani’s sakhis and Sri Radharani Herself. And He sent them to Radha kunda to be given as gifts.
The gopis were so joyful. Srimati Radha picked flowers, beautiful, fragrant flowers and made a divine garland. And She prepared the most ambrosia bhoga, fruit stuff, and She sent it to Krsna in reciprocation of His love.
Then all the gopis decorated themselves with the most beautiful pearls in all of existence. And they went home and their parents were very happy.
There is a beautiful pastime in the Garga Samhita, which explains how one time Lalita and Vishaka sakhi came to Barsana and visited a solitary place where Sri Radharani was sitting, and they began to narrate the wonderful qualities and attributes of Lord Sri Krishna and this intensified, expanded the love of Sri Radharani. She said can you draw me a picture of Krishna? So Lalita Devi draw a picture of Krishna and when Radharani saw it, she fainted in ecstasy of love and then as she was in a trance, she had a dream that she was meeting Lord Krishna with his beautiful blackish form on the banks of river Yamuna and Lalita and Vishakha, they were calling Srimati Radharani to come out of her dream state and then she came out, they took her by the hand to the window of the palace and they said you see walking through that narrow forest lane there is Lord Shyamsundar along with His cowherd boyfriends playing upon his flute, herding the cows.
When Srimati Radharani saw the beautiful form of Lord Krishna all of her limbs began to tremble in ecstatic love, it is the Mahabhava that only Srimati Radharani possesses and she fainted to the ground. Meanwhile when Lord Krishna's beautiful lotus eyes saw the loving form of Sri Radharani his heart was also captured. So Krishna persuaded on with his friends and Lalita sakhi brought Sri Radharani to external consciousness and she began to instruct Her, She said Sri Radhikarani this beautiful personality Shyamsundar can be obtained by giving all of the love of your life exclusively to him. The greatest treasure of your heart would be attained by making your every thought, your every word in offering of love to Him, Sri Radharani explained Lalita, if I do not obtain Lord Krishna then I will not be able to maintain my life. Hearing these words Lalita Devi approached Krishna on the bank of Yamuna and she explained to him that Shri Radharani will not be able to survive and preserve her life unless you personally give her your most charming association.
Krishna spoke and He revealed sublime philosophical truth in very simple words, He said, “you must understand Lalita Sakhi, that whatever love Shri Radharani has towards me, I am always feeling the same towards her that she is my heart just as I am Her heart and as she cannot live without me I cannot live without Her” and then he explained that you must know that Radha and Krishna are one, we are not separate, we are that one Supreme Personality of Godhead who have expanded into two forms to eternally enjoy the highest pleasures of spiritual love and anyone who considers Sri Radharani to be different from myself will have to remain trying to enjoy the suffering conditions of this material world for ever. You assure Srimati Radharani that we are one and the same.” So Lalita Sakhi returns and explained that “Krishna has told me that you are one supreme person and you can never be separated and that soon He certainly fulfill all of your desires.”
Bhandirvan, Mant
Place where Brahmaji had come to marry Radha and Krishna
Bhandirvan, the pious land which united Radha-Krishna! Bhandirvan one of the 137 sacred forests in Mathura lies 10 km away from Vrindavan. It is the place where Radha and Krishna used to perform their youth plays and it is also believed that it was Lord Brahma who got them married at this very place.
The forest Bhandirvan in the Mant sub district of Mathura is a part of the ‘Braj Bhoomi’ where it is believed that Shri Krishna killed the Rakshas Pralambhasura who had kidnapped his friends. This forest also got the privilege of witnessing the marriage of Krishna with Radha ji.
It happened that Baba Nand went along with infant Krishna to Bhandirvan 10 km away Vrindavan for cow grazing. Suddenly the infant Shri Krishna thought about showing him a play. When Nand Baba sat under a tree to rest, a ferocious storm started blowing and the environment became dark. Nand Baba got scared about his little boy. Shri Krishna also acted as if he was frightened and hugged Nand Baba with fear. But then Nand baba saw the beautiful gopi, Radha Rani approaching from the storm. She was glowing with beauty. Realizing that it was a play, he gave the infant to Radhaji and said that he knew she was dearer than Goddess Laxmi to the Godhead. He said that she can enjoy with Shri Krishna but should leave the infant back home to Rani Yashoda. Taking a promise of not revealing what he saw there, Radha Rani took the infant from him.
Radha Rani was very happy to see the infant and kissed him when suddenly a palace appeared before her and she went inside. The palace was shining with jewels and rubies and then she saw the infant vanish from her lap while a young handsome man appeared before her wearing jewellery and a crown. She realized it was no one else but Shri Krishna. He praised Radhaji acknowledging his deep love for her. He told Radhaji that she was the other half of Shri Krishna but Radha complained of the pain of separation. Shri Krishna consoled her and asked her to wait as he would make her happy. At that moment, Lord Brahma appears to both of them very respectfully and conducts their marriage ceremony (Gandharva Vivah). Thereafter Shri Krishna and Radhaji spend time together in delightful pastimes. After some time, to her disappointment Shri Krishna suddenly returned to his infant form and a voice promises Radhaji that they would keep returning for these lovable pastimes. Thereafter, Radhaji took the infant Krishna back to mother Yashoda. After that Radhaji would go to Bhandirvan everyday to indulge in the delightful pastimes with Shri Krishna.
Kalindi and Shri Krishna --
Arjun felt tired and thirsty from hunting, and therefore he went to the bank of the Yamunā along with Kṛṣṇa. When both reached the bank of the Yamunā, they washed their hands and feet and mouths and drank the clear water of the Yamunā. While they were resting and drinking water, they saw a beautiful girl of marriageable age walking alone on the bank of the Yamunā. Kṛṣṇa asked His friend Arjuna to go forward and ask the girl who she was. By the order of Kṛṣṇa, Arjuna immediately approached the girl, who was very beautiful. She had an attractive body and nice glittering teeth and smiling face. Arjuna inquired, "My dear girl, you are so beautiful may I ask you who you are? We are surprised to see you loitering here alone. What is your purpose in coming here? We can guess only that you are searching after a suitable husband. If you don't mind, you can disclose your purpose. I shall try to satisfy you." The beautiful girl was the river Yamunā personified. She replied, "Sir, I am the daughter of the sun-god, and I am now performing penance and austerity to have Lord Viṣṇu as my husband. I think He is the Supreme Person and just suitable to become my husband. I disclose my desire thus because you wanted to know it." The girl continued, "My dear sir, I know you are the hero Arjuna; so I may further say that I'll not accept anyone as my husband besides Lord Viṣṇu, because He is the only protector of all living entities and the bestower of liberation for all conditioned souls. I shall be thankful unto you if you pray to Lord Viṣṇu to become pleased with me." The girl Yamunā knew it well that Arjuna was a great devotee of Lord Kṛṣṇa and that if he would pray, Kṛṣṇa would never deny his request. To approach Kṛṣṇa directly may sometimes be futile, but to approach Kṛṣṇa through His devotee is sure to be successful. She further told Arjuna, "My name is Kālindī, and I live within the water of the Yamunā. My father was kind enough to construct a special house for me within the waters of the Yamunā, and I have vowed to remain in the water as long as I cannot find Lord Kṛṣṇa." The message of the girl Kālindī was duly carried to Kṛṣṇa by Arjuna
Although Kṛṣṇa, as the Supersoul of everyone's heart, knew everything. Without further discussion, Kṛṣṇa immediately accepted Kālindī and asked her to sit down on the chariot. Then all of them approached King Yudhiṣṭhira.

Most welcome Cynthia 🤗
Well done Gayatri, for posting such lovely stories🤗. I think once Cynthia asked us the question regarding Kalindi and why Sri Krishna addressed her as Maa , by being her husband. Now the third story is the answer to her question.😊

No, it wasn't me who asked the question. But I said that it did indeed appeal to me.
