i was wondering if asya marriage happens is there a specific religious rite or custom by which asad can marry zoya without zoya saying qubool hai? is there anything as such by which asad will end up marrying zoya with neither of them saying qubool hai?

you see i get this silly doubt bcoz iam watching too many serials😳 in most of them sometimes a guy puts sindoor on girls head in a dramatic sequence and they both r considered married by everyone!

In Islam the bride and groom not only have to say Qubool hai but also have to sign the Marriage documents... And only in the case if any one or both of them are dumb then also they need to indicate in some manner like nodding in a yes to show that he accept this marriage and if they are illiterate then they have to mark their thumb instead of signature on Marriage documents...

So for marriage... a YES or NO.. AND SIGN ON MARRIAGE DOCUMENTS BOTH ARE NEEDED... Without it, nikkah can not happen..
