There has never been any sanity or continuity in Qubool hai from the start.The only factor that redeemed it was Karan's brilliant acting.No character has remained true and there is constant change for the worse.
I presume this is the reason Karan would have had differences and been evicted when he protested.I admire the man for having the courage to walk tall.You could see the change in Asad's persona after the first nikah interruption and unfortunately for the worse.How often have we lamented the decline in charectirization but our pleas always fell on deaf ears.Now of course the Asad on screen bears no resemblance to our original Asad who had us hooked to the show.He has changed physically but along with that even his character has been slaughtered.His attitude towards Zoya has lost its original sensitivity which was so endearing.
The latest bonding between Asad and Haider is a shocker!!!How much can the CVs alter a pivotal character so drastically? They have now totally destroyed him.Our Asad would never forget that Haider is wooing the girl who was Ayaan's life and encourage him !
Qubool Hai has now become a total waste of good time.And this is the feeling I get when I do not even watch it.If the degradation is apparent from the comments made on this forum how much worse it must be to see it on screen!!
What is puzzling is Gul Khan allowing this to happen!We have seen that she is capable of lyrical romance sans vulgarity..so why is she permitting the Channel to destroy her concept?Surely the better option would be to walk out handing the reins to Zee and a typical saas bahu production
house instead of standing by silently and watching the slaughter.
An analysis of the changes in the basic persona of the QH characters will explain the decline as well as the reason for so many leaving the show.Almost no one has remained true to their original avatar. While accepting the dictum that change is the only constant surely the change should be for the better.
1.Asad is no longer the endearing young man who hid his many layered personality behind a disciplined facade.And that is purely because the new actor does not have the capability to emote as brilliantly as KSG...no offence to him as he tries his best but Karan's shoes are far too big for
anyone to fill.
2.Ayaan ,unable to cope up with the changes just fled the scene.
3.Nikhat is the one character who has suffered worse fate than even Asad.Her's has been a seesaw journey veering between strength and total lunacy.Archana Taide obviously does not have the seniority to protest as is obvious from the fact that her name is missing from the popular cast.
4.Shireen's character was unstable from the beginning ..a sort of tragic/comedy relief but she too disappears unable to accept the havoc.
5.Dilshad, who was the most appreciated after Asad looks a stranger.Her current avatar does no credit to her initial sobriety.
6.Humeira is now hardly recognisable and so distanced from her innocent earlier self
7.Rashid, the man responsible for the entire drama that is QH started as a weak man but not able to slip further has now been rendered totally helpless after a comatose spell and is now moving around speechless in a wheel chair.
8.Gaffur the other man responsible for the angst in the lives of the people in QH is always alternating between good and evil.He has perhaps finally found his correct persona...do betiyon ka troubled baap !
9.Badi Bi's journey keeps alternating,between some of the worst human rights violations shown on ITV, to a total absence and then merely as a passive bystander.
10.Tanveer is the only one to remain true to her original character ..so true that she refuses to give birth to a child of so many fathers! My guess is that the latest to be trapped by her is Zanab Gaffur! So from becoming Zoya's sauten she will now be her step mom.This is the only clue that QH may continue after the fall of Razia.Tanveer will move centre stage to wreak havoc in the lives of all now.
11.Nazma as everyone already knows is no longer the endearing Tamatar of her Bhaijaan ...she has been pushed into the background as soon as she entered the spooky environs of QM.
That brings us to the crazy Qureshis and the less said about them the better ...they remain the unwanted fillers they always were.
So the only two who have been able to hold their own,with minor aberrations,are Razia and Zoya.
Thus the QH Circus continues!Whether it is curtains or a continuation depends on the TRPs after the culmination of most famously interrupted nikah .
This brings me to the crux of my long spiel.We the viewers are at the receiving end of the Channels' ego more then the actors,techinicians and production houses.We are also the ones to hold the remote.It is time we made a concerted effort to bring some order in this totally bizarre scenario.Instead of wasting valuable time fighting for naught we must unite to use that remote and enforce our rights emphatically.
A qualitative change has to be enforced in the grim world of our television industry.
Channels must end their Czarist attitude and put their own house in order.
Shows should be made with bound scripts and a well defined story.
Pre-production work should be completed before shooting commences.
The show must end when the story does.Maybe a new season can continue after a break.
All associated with the show should be treated as professionals at par with those working in other fields and not like bonded labour.
That is what we the viewers should ensure and work towards. Use the remote and move on as it is a strong weapon in our hands. Another very important one is to appeal to sponsors to not endorse shows that hinge on the ludicrous. If they persist we may alert them that we will boycott the use of their products too. I will definitely not be using anything advertised on QH.
We can appeal to official forums like IBF/BCCC which is a quasi govt organisation to help us clean the stable.
So friends this is a Channel vs Audience campaign.Karan is better off outside the madness of Qubool Hai now :)
