If Asad was not engrossed in Zoya, it would have been strange.Dilshad was scared because she knows she is about to do something questionable.It is 'questionable' from whose POV. Dilshad is scared of Asad's hatred for his father. Dilshad is scared of hurting Asad. Dilshad knows that Asad will not see her POV because of this. To her it is not 'questionable'.As viewers, we know that Ayaan and Zoya's marriage is invalid. But does characters in the serial know? Everyone of them think it is valid. Yet Asad walked with someone else's wife. Even though Asad forced Zoya to sign the papers, Zoya forgave Asad and made the decision to walk out of SM. Similarly why can't Dilshad do so too.The same Dilshad slapped her own son in front of the entire world without thinking that her son wouldn't do anything as cheap as what had been made out to be, she spoke for Zoya, she spoke up against Asad whenever he was wrong. But the same Dilshad falters today not because she is scared of her own son, but because she knows what she is doing is not the best decision she has made.Dilshad slapped Asad because Asad admitted he was guilty. When Zoya told her about what happened, Dilshad did not believe Zoya until she saw Asad. If Asad had opened his mouth and told Dilshad, he was not guilty she would not have slapped Asad. So don't blame her for that.She is not scared of Asad's anger but of his hatred for his father and knowing that her decision will hurt Asad.The question here is, that at what cost is Dilshad choosing her happiness? She has been abandoned by a man 17 years ago, left with nothing but misery and two beautiful but helpless children. She lived a life of dignity by earning every penny with the help of the son who shouldered her and helped her at that age like her parent more than child. And today she is choosing to go with a man who didn't think twice before leaving her and does not think twice before telling her to come live with his second wife under the same roof? 𤢠Asad is not being selfish he is trying to do the right here, by safeguarding his mother from going through another set of insults. He is fighting for her and not himself.Dilshad is not a child. So when she made the choice, she knows what she is getting herself in for. Forgiveness is a virtue that one of the toughest to have. Forgiving a person does make one lose dignity, in fact it enhances dignity.Dilshad need to make that choice.Najma saw beyond Dilshad's smile, That's why she walked into SM knowing that she can get insulted there. But she did it for her mom. She saw her mother's tears.Sometimes being over-protective is not good. Asad need to see beyond Dilshad's smiles. If Dilshad is prepared to go through another set of insults, Asad should let her. The main reason being Asad knows very well that Dilshad still loves Rashid a lot no matter what.
