She took a decision without letting Asad even know about it? Does he deserve to know of her decision like the way he got to know of it? If she sat down, told him her plight, and her decision and made him understand it, respecting his emotions as much as hers and Rashid's I would understand her as much. Asad has done more than a son does all his life. Having been abandoned by his father and left to shoulder responsibilities like the man of the house has made him devoid of basic happiness all his life. He has become bitter not because of the pain he had to go through but because of the pain his mother had to go through. And today she just tells him I've decided to go live with your father and walk off ?

Fine she loves Rashid and she just forgives him, but how can she forgive him for what her both children went through, mentally, emotionally, and materialistically too.

She has every right to do what she wants in her life, but her children have as much right to know of her decisions and be a part of them as well.

I'm not a parent, and I speak for myself here.

When I watched Dilshad, Asad scene where Dilshad is trying to tell Asad of her decision, her want. She is scared to do so.
I realized there are so many times, my parents must have through the same with me. Not because I'm an ogre but for the fear that I would be unhappy.

The scene at the dining table, Asad was pulling Zoya's leg but he failed to see that his mother's unhappiness, Asad is wrapped up in his world, in his love for Zoya that he has not seen his mother's unhappiness. He has taken his mother for granted.
This made me realize how much I take my parents for granted. I get so wrapped with my life (no boyfriend, nor am I married 😃) that I just expect them to be just around.

This made me reflect on the way I take my parents for granted too and its little things.

I see my brother fall in love and now his world is his wife and his child. My parents are important to him. But he tends to be wrapped up in his life. Is it wrong? No not one bit.
My brother's wife and his child are my brother's future.

Similarly. Asad has found Zoya.

Dilshad made the decision after rationalizing with herself. She was trying to tell Asad of her decision when Rashid walked in. So Dilshad here is not to blame.

Moreover all of them have always been abused and insulted by people in SM, does he not know what Zoya had to go through there and what Dilshad will have to go through over and over ? He is protecting her by doing what he is.

very well said...👏👏👏

@red: Whether Dilshad deserves Rashid's love or not, it is Dilshad's decision to make. And she made that decision. Yes, she want's his love.

Sure, Rashid left Dilshad 17years ago, yes, Dislad, Asad and Najma struggled during the early years on their lives. But Dilshad still loves Rashid and she is lonely.

Rashid's near death situation was a wake-up call. Time is precious, too precious to waste in hatred, too precious to waste because of ego.

The convo between Dilshad and Rashid by the roadside said so much about Dilshad's reasoning.

My childhood should have taught me lessons for my own parenthood , but it didn't because parenting could only be learned by people who has no children. !!

If it had been any other man i may have said yes. I am all for companionship when one is old. I had even encouraged my Father inlaw when he was in his mid 60 to find a companion . I would have got him married. But i do not think her decision to go back to Rashid who never once stood up for her in the 17yrs while she and her children been cursed, sweared upon, insulted and abused in society by his so called family from SM 😡😡 It is disgusting to even think about it.

My last post as a goldie i think...

If Dilshad has to ask Asad has to choose between Dilshad and Zoya, who do you think he should choose?

Asad has given his full life to his mother, to his family, to the women in his life. Has Asad ever been selfish ever? LOL you gotta be kidding me saying he is wrapped up in his own world. Dilshad was out of the house when Asad and Zoya were bickering. But when his Ammi comes into the picture in any scene at any moment, Asad's entire attention goes to her, his concerns lie in her.
Dilshad was scared because she knows she is about to do something questionable. The same Dilshad slapped her own son in front of the entire world without thinking that her son wouldn't do anything as cheap as what had been made out to be, she spoke for Zoya, she spoke up against Asad whenever he was wrong. But the same Dilshad falters today not because she is scared of her own son, but because she knows what she is doing is not the best decision she has made.

The question here is, that at what cost is Dilshad choosing her happiness? She has been abandoned by a man 17 years ago, left with nothing but misery and two beautiful but helpless children. She lived a life of dignity by earning every penny with the help of the son who shouldered her and helped her at that age like her parent more than child. And today she is choosing to go with a man who didn't think twice before leaving her and does not think twice before telling her to come live with his second wife under the same roof? 🤢 Asad is not being selfish he is trying to do the right here, by safeguarding his mother from going through another set of insults. He is fighting for her and not himself.
