I just wanted to comment again on the ghastly thought of "human trading" trading is done with goods and services and when its done with humans, it is referred to as human trafficking. People do this to get money for women they sell into sexual slavery. This is nowhere even close, its light-years away from what's happening in QH.

I am not justifying the fact that they show women as weak and subservient but these women aren't being exploited. Zoya has always been a loud-mouth who spoke her mind but she passively FOR Asad signed the papers. Is she pissed they put her in that position? Of course. Who can blame her but she did it. They didn't hold her hand and make her sign the papers. She did it and she put her love and trust in Asad again, doing this because she loves him.

What is shown in QH is not slavery or human trading/trafficking whatever you wanna call it. To think that is a complete overreaction but your view so . . . . your choice.

Upon the wise suggestion of a member, I decided to rid myself of ignorance and look up the ever-so-profound difference between "human trade" and "human trafficking". My results are below:

Is it rude to say that human trading might just not exist, even if it is supported by our good friend Google? Unless, of course, the good people of this forum partake in neology.

Trafficking is when you do it secretly and make money for it. there is just not one meaning for trade and hope you can look it up. Trade for money or batter trade. Fictional shows make an effect on people.

If these fictional shows portray the wrong message to the viewing public than yes one has to take a stand.

I will not deny the fact that fictional shows indeed do leave an imprint on the emotionally invested. Just a few days ago, I thought that the suicidal message shown was not right.

The issue here is not whether it is right for such an ideology to be depicted in a popular show or not. Rather, it's about whether such an ideology is even in effect. Which it clearly isn't and things are being blown out of proportion.

There are two definitions for trade: the action of buying/selling goods & services or a commercial transaction/exchange of goods & services. By definition, you seem to be insinuating that either Zoya is a good or a service (which further leads us on the slippery prostitution slope). And last time I checked, goods couldn't speak up for themselves. Here, we have a woman, perfectly capable of speech, choosing to beg instead of taking a stance. She's not held at gunpoint, is she? Then, pray tell me, why is she not standing up for herself? Human trafficking (I really have never heard "human trade", and nor has Google, coincidentally) is when people are traded. They have no say. They speak up and they die. Their alleged sellers aren't the love of their lives. What you are doing by comparing these two scenarios is trivializing the gravity of the latter situation.

Relax, Dollface. I'm not a dramaqueen. I am simply high-spirited when the situation requires it. But I assure you, you'll be the first to know when I finally secure an acting gig after all this practice.

I know you will be disappointed to hear this, but I have not rained on any parades. As it happens, the person who made this post and myself seem to share similar views. I have not opened up a post, soliciting apostles for myself, if that's what you are implying.

As for the drama being the same everyday, I was under the impression that the production house and creative heads get bashed left, right, and center for the reason that you have listed above: monotony. If the serial can be bashed for that, then I would assume that I'm not going out on a limb by pointing out the same flaws within the members of this forum.

@bold: Oh dearie. Was my comment so imbecilic in its nature that it led you to believe that I don't even know what species I belong to? Shame on me.

There are many many illiterate people in India who would take a serial and it's initial message as the gospel truth. Yes agreed that Zoya the character did not open her mouth and that was the doing of the PH and or her CVS. (2)If they had made her open her mouth and stand her stand, it would not have been so bad cause it would not have shown women to be such whimsical creatures of this place called earth. I may have been misconstrued in my message but i am and will always be against any kind of injustice to women, children, elderly and even animals for that matter. If it is shown in fictional or non fictional my thoughts remain the same.

Yes i do make comments or other post and they may sound childish, cynical or totally misleading but that is just to keep the flow of humor and thread. Purely entertainment. Likewise i too think that even on this post the discussion was merely on the serial and then everyone starts getting uptight . Everyone has their know POV and if you guys do not like mine , i can't force you. I shall remember to never comment on your post again. Apologies extended.

(3)Lastly i do not even think i should be arguing here since many of the members are students or just very young adults who seem to think that if the have vast knowledge of the English Vocabulary, they know what reality is all about. When you live abroad and and don't know the mentality of a general Indian citizen, it would not be fair to make any kind of judgments.

P.S Since it was not trade please advice me to what that exchange was???? (4)Maybe i am too daft at the age of almost 50...

Definition of 'Trade'

A basic economic concept that involves multiple parties participating in the voluntary negotiation and then the exchange of one's goods and services for desired goods and services that someone else possesses. The advent of money as a medium of exchange has allowed trade to be conducted in a manner that is much simpler and effective compared to earlier forms of trade, such as bartering.

Bold Number 1: You can't possibly be implying that all stories need to not only have a happy ending, but also a happy beginning, in order to facilitate the circulation of the correct message at any point in time of a given story, can you? Because with almost 50 years of experience, that is quite an absurd perception to harbor. If that were the case, then every single coming-of-age novel should have been banned because it didn't convey the right message throughout the book. (Why does it matter if Holden Caulfield realized his follies towards the end? What matters is that he had those follies in the first place.) And quite honestly, this would lead to nothing but zero plot development and monotony.

Bold Number 2: Whimsical pertains to the quality of being playfully fanciful. Speaking up for yourself is not fanciful. It should be an impulse in these days and time.

Bold Number 3: I have stated this earlier and I won't hesitate to state it again, I fail to see the correlation between the age of the people on this post and the fact that comparing a trivial show to a grave issue is faulty and disparaging. Vast knowledge of the English vocabulary comes with education, and with education, comes a well-developed mindset. You have made quite a few generalizations here without knowing anything about any of us. Anyways, thank you for the insight on our mindsets. Please continue whilst I take notes.

Bold Number 4: I understand that you are 50. However, old age doesn't entail the right to consider all others under that age incapable of forming intelligent thoughts.

And as much as we all appreciate your graciousness for providing that definition, it was unnecessary. As Kiran pointed out, it defines simply "trade", not human "trade" (trafficking). There exists a difference.

Thank you for this valuable piece of information.

Ever since people started assuming that members are not replying due to their lack of further knowledge and not others things (like, I don't know, sleep, maybe?), I started believing that time zones ceased to exist.

It's selfish in some respects but he sacrificed his LOVE for his sister. That's the most selfless thing he has done till date.

What he did was selfless in the sense that he was not getting something out of doing it

But it was selfish because he was subjecting another person to life of misery

so he is being selfish and selfless at the same time

There is not gonna be an end to the definitions of trade.
Trade can also mean EXCHANGE
Trade can Also mean Barter

A doctor trades his expertise in order to safe a life or earn his living.

And accountant trades his expertise for a salary.

An actor trades his talent and skills for money, fame and recognition.

People here on the forum trade their opinions for the opinions of others.

Asad/ Ayaan traded Zoya for the life of their sister without her consent... It meant that they exchanged her life and happiness for the life of their sister.

Our whole life works on trading one thing or the other and that does not mean we are trafficking because trafficking is not just subjected to humans but many more things.

Neither is Trading just subjected to Goods.

Many services are traded daily.
