@sheilasandhu, you've shared your views but don't seem to want to look at the other side of the coin or see that you could be misinterpreting while others have seen your view and tried to reason out why it may not be plausible.

See that if Zoya wants marriage documents signed or no, she could leave Ayaan's house. She is staying of her own will. She signed with her own hands. She is responsible for herself and she let herself be put into a situation she didn't want to help Asad's family.

Look at the bigger picture of how this is one step in ZOYA bridging the gap between two estranged and warring families with this act of selflessness.
