I read namaz in jeans sometimes...I don't find any problem in it, except that it kind of gets a bit difficult sometimes. When I'm in university or at work, I can't go home to change so that I can pray my namaz. I believe that religion should not be made more difficult than what it is. As long as you are covered and wearing decent clothes, I don't find any problems in it. Besides, shalwar kameez is decent according to our culture, but if you go to arab countries like Saudi Arabia...they find it indecent! So, the thing is that everyone has different views about it. Neeyat is what matters, and Allah knows what is going on in our hearts...
I think you can perform your saalat in any loose clothes (shorts are not allowed). I live in Canada and I wear jeans. If I am not allowed to wear jeans for my saalat then I have to miss it while I am at university or work place. Allah wants you to perform saalat at any cost. You just have to be completely covered!

yah tight clothes rnt allowed for woman...but then again thts why woman r also ordered to pray in one corner of the house so men cant see them...ALSO..for girls who wear jeans on a regular basis...dnt u think the rule wudnt apply bcuz...lets say we work/go to school all day...jus cuz we wear jeans it wud mean we hv to skip prayer...so i dnt think its specifically JEANS...ur just supposed to dress modestly...
