See guys, we can not just preach here unless we have quite a heatlthy knowledge about Islam which most of us don't. Yes, I wear jeans and sometimes I offer namaaz in that. But I won't go on to say that what I'm doing is right because it may not be the case. Jeans (esp skinnies) and clothes as such DO outline our figure and this kind of attire is not allowed by Islam, as far as I know. However, just like your clothes don't define your character, they don't define your prayers either. There are many things to be considered during namaaz and clothes are just ONE of them- wearing jeans will not mean that your prayers are not accepted.
With all due respect, your post is offensive in many ways.
a) Our Islamic rules do NOT change with time. The basis, as laid by our Holy Quran, remains the same. For instance, just because wearing skinny jeans is a norm nowadays doesn't mean it will be accepted by Islam- at the end of the day, it exposes and outlines our figure. Nonetheless, these restrictions do not mean that Islam hinders our progression in the world, not at all!
b) Everyone can question their religious rules and regulations, of course. But I can say with full pride that our Holy Propher (P.B.U.H.) has explained the reasons for the rules which were laid down and even now, Islamic scholars are there to answer our queries. Many 'gender discrimantory' rules have concrete reasons behind them.
c) Oh, you will be surprised to see how wrongly many aspects of Islam have been shown in QH. But since it never promised to preach Islam or any religion, I won't object to that. But believe me, all the mazaars and taweez and many other stuff shown is NOT in our religion.
Having said that, I'm not a perfect Muslim either, but just cause Muslims round the world do wrong things doesn't mean they become right in the light of Islam. So yes, you can attack US for stuff we do wrong, but please do not attack our religion.
Thank you.
