Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Abhira returns to the Poddar house after 8 years

Tonight's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode opens with the Poddar family anxiously waiting at home for Kaveri and Armaan to arrive. After some time, Armaan finally enters the house along with Kaveri. The moment the family sees Kaveri’s fragile condition, everyone is left shocked and worried. Kajal suggests that Armaan should perform the aarti ritual. Manisha also supports the idea and reminds him that the priest had instructed them not to conduct the ritual inside the house, so it must be done properly at the entrance. Armaan prepares to perform the aarti as everyone watches.

Just then, Abhira arrives unexpectedly, leaving the entire Poddar family stunned. Armaan immediately questions why she has come back and sarcastically asks if she returned just to take Kaveri’s blessings before leaving the city. Vidya reacts strongly and says that blessings are meant for family members, not strangers. She further taunts Abhira, asking whose life she now intends to ruin. Armaan also firmly tells Abhira that she should leave the house.

However, Abhira calmly responds that she has not returned on her own decision. She explains that Kaveri herself had asked her to come back, which is why she is standing there again. Vidya and Armaan refuse to believe her explanation. They clearly state that they do not need Abhira to take care of Kaveri and insist that she should leave immediately. Abhira continues to maintain that Kaveri had asked for her presence, and that is the only reason she has returned to the Poddar house.

Armaan becomes furious and refuses to allow Abhira anywhere near Kaveri. In anger, he drags her out of the house. As he tries to push her out, Abhira asks him to at least let go of her bag. She again reminds him that she came only because Kaveri wanted her to return. Vidya quickly dismisses Abhira’s statement and claims she is lying because everyone was present when Kaveri was unconscious, and no one heard her ask Abhira to come back. Armaan once again orders Abhira to leave.

Abhira tries to make him understand her perspective. She admits that coming back to the Poddar house is not easy for her either and that she is uncomfortable being there, but she still chose to return because of Kaveri’s request. Armaan, however, refuses to listen to a single word and demands that she leave immediately.

At this tense moment, Madhav steps in and stops Armaan. He clearly states that Abhira cannot be sent away. Madhav reveals that he personally heard Kaveri asking for Abhira while she was unconscious, and it was he who requested Abhira to return. He points out that despite her self-respect and past differences, Abhira put everything aside and came back only for the family. Madhav openly supports Abhira, but Armaan refuses to accept his explanation.

Madhav further reminds everyone that Kaveri is his mother and that he intends to fulfill her last wish, even if she expressed it while unconscious. Vidya, however, accuses Abhira of manipulating both Madhav and Kaveri just to find a way back into the house. Ignoring Vidya’s accusations, Madhav urges Armaan to allow Abhira to stay near Kaveri.

Armaan refuses once again. In anger, he pushes Abhira out of the house and shuts the gate, making it clear that she is not welcome. Determined not to give up, Abhira climbs over the gate and declares that Armaan cannot stop her from fulfilling Kaveri’s wish. She insists that she will go to Kaveri no matter what. Armaan tries to stop her again, but Abhira firmly tells him to stop shouting because his anger no longer scares her. She adds that she has already lost too much in life and therefore has nothing left to fear.

Abhira then walks straight to Kaveri and emotionally asks her to open her eyes because she has returned as promised. Vidya decides to throw Abhira out again, but she suddenly stops when Kaveri softly calls out Abhira’s name. This moment shocks everyone present.

Madhav then asks Abhira to complete the welcome ritual for Kaveri. Manisha expresses disbelief at the unexpected turn of events and says she never imagined Abhira would return to the house like this. Tanya steps forward and helps Abhira during the ritual, while Madhav also welcomes her presence in the family once again.

In the precap, Abhira becomes worried when she notices that Kaveri is struggling to breathe and appears to be suffocating. Armaan checks the equipment and realizes that the oxygen plug has been disconnected. Without listening to anyone, he blames Abhira for being careless with Kaveri’s health and angrily orders her to leave the house.
