You take the views you read on IF as the voice of India?😲 Do you also think think the Indian tv dramas depict the Indian society?😆

Well I definitely dont consider you as the voice of US. Probably one person's opinions living in US😆

During the previous scene, it was situation which was entirely different.
Zoya was at fault too keeping Mariyum without his permission and she approached at wrong time and Zoya is mature enough to understand the seriousness of situation and emotions. Plus there was not the current equation between them, where either had to justify everything, they could choose to ignore which they cant now.
And this time, she was first of all not wrong in her mind and they are point where few things need to be cleared.
I think they played the scene fine both the time, Zoya made him realize before and today that she has been right..

That's true, where was she?

But there is a huge difference between what happened then and what is happening now.

When Asad slapped her she was so shocked and hurt she couldn't respond. I can still see the scene in my head, and her pain was so obvious.

Now they have moved on to getting engaged, and he hasn't really ever done much for her since that slap incident.
She has been there supporting him, being kind to him, showing her love even though she doesn't express it, but he never does anything for her.
And I felt that she was referring to Tanveer when she said that she stops doing things for his sake, but he never ever stopped doing something that hurt her, i.e. being so close to Tanveer, maybe?

I think some people bare with others for a while, but there comes a point where we can no longer just keep our feelings in for their sake. It becomes too hard. And I think Zoya reached that point today.

The fact that people in India who are here do and they represent a fraction of the society and that is what matters.

Eh, I am the voice of the US, what are you talking about - and you love it don't you 😛

At the risk of getting booed by some, I am fed up of the skirt issue. At the risk of repetition, how come there were no posts made on her backless sari top. I think exposure is exposure whether front or back.

Today one sees a Zoya that is at the end of the rope with Asad. She sees him as constantly ridiculing her, berating her at every opportune. She is fedup and that makes her retaliate. Isn't that that what we all do or some of us atleast. We can take to an extent but once the limit is crossed and buttons are pushed, outbursts happen.

I am not condoning the slap, I abhorred it but can understand why Zoya did not retaliate as IMO the timing was not rite.

Btw this is a healthy discussion but feel free to bash.

i dunno WHY tht slap is such a big issue...yes i understand it was heartbreaking to watch...but it was a CLEAR misunderstanding...asads character is one who doesnt think twice before reacting when hes in anger...he frikkin tried to kill his own father...he thought she was the reason for his mom DYING...if u thought ur mom was dying wud u hv a picnic with the person "responsible" or wud u want them dead b4 ur mom..id strangle the person with my own bare hands...

wht i wanna ask all of u is if instead of asad...zoyas mom was dying..and zoya thought it was asads fault and she slapped him...wud u guyz say the same?? tht cvs think its okay for men to be slapped?? if woman need to progress we need to stop crying over being oppressed in the first place..it wud be an issue if asad thought it wud be okay to slap woman...or if he thought woman were beneath his feet like sm men do...asad respects woman ALOT and thinks they shud be treated with luv..whtever his behaviour with zoya changes all the time (lets not discuss that..well stick to the slap) but he regretted the slap to NO EXTENT...it was a clear cut misunderstanding and even zoya ddnt know why he slapped her...or behaved tht way bcuz she clealry asked him ltr "mr khan aap yeh kyun kar rahe hain" and if a girl like zoya let it go..tht clearly means tht whtever happened was under the circumstances...if i was in zoyas shoes..and smthing like tht happened...i wud expect a slap too..bcuz frm bth asad and zoyas POV it was zoyas fault...asad WARNED her to send mariam away..she LIED to him...the maamo threatened asad minutes before his mom got shot...WHT DO U EXPECT frm him???

and as far as today is concerned...bth were right in their places...but zoyas outburst was bcuz she was bottling up tooo much for tooo long and she was TRYING to change and he was failing to see it...she was stressed and he pressed on it so...🤢
