Sanjay Leela Bhansali's dream project is about to be revived, and he's gotten a casting coup for it too! Subash K Jha confirms that Kareena Kapoor Khan has been cast across Shahrukh Khan in the film. Kareena and Shahrukh will be coming together for this one after Asoka and Ra.One!
It's interesting to see that there is no bad blood between Bhansali and Kapoor after she walked out of 'Ram Leela'.
At an earlier stage when the film was set to take off with Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor, Bhansali spoke on her role by saying ''Kareeena has the pathos of Meena Kumari and the fire of Nargis. Kareena also exudes a unique mystery and power in her personality. There's something very striking and untamed about her personality. No one can play a female warrior better than her. Mastani has to be larger than life. Kareena is perfect for the role. She is going to be a revelation as Mastani. I wouldn't have anyone else playing Mastani. She possesses a completely different area of attitude, personality, beauty and femininity."
Now this sounds like a project of epic proportions!
