Very very likely!! All of them had atleast 10 official wives & the concubines were separate!!!
Even MP's father had over 20 wives though 3-5 were the chief queens like they show on telly serial. PRC himself had over 10 wives I think though Sanyogita took precedence over all the rest. She was his Beloved & MOST favourite queen.

With Akbar, that was Ruqaiyya as far as I know. He could never say no to her.

Jehnagir had 20 wives apart from many many concubines. Noor Jehan was his last wife & his most favourite. She was his Beloved & he couldn't ever say no to her. But that could probably also have been because he was mostly dead drunk. 😆

But it was a fact that Noor ruled in all but name. She is the ONLY woman in History to have had coins minted in her name!!! 😳

Strangely Shah Jahan had only 3 official wives apart from thousands of concubines. One was a Persian princess, another was a distant cousin. And of course the other one was the Lady of the Taj 😊, his most & eternal favourite- His Love, Mumtaz Mahal! It was a widely known fact that his real family was only the one he had with Mumtaz. Other marriages were a marriage in only name.

The other wives had not much privilege or power because the only one who was close to him was Mumtaz Mahal. She had his ear at all times. Hence , she was most powerful next only to her husband, Emperor Shah Jahan!!!

I believe he had plans to kill off Noor Jehan after his father passed away. It was Mumtaz who stopped him from doing so as she was her real aunt, apart from other reasons. I don't think there could've been other reasons for the simple reason- HE was the Emperor. There wasn't any other reason needed.

I have heard that in Mughals Shah Jahan is the kind king and Aurangzeb is the most cruel.
(School history)
But after reading this many post from this forum, it seem no mughal kings were kind.

No kings could ever be kind because such were the times. Too much kindness was considered to be a weakness, something that Jalal is fully aware of on the show.
But they were humans at the end of the day. They all had their flaws & virtues. The kindest, most compassionate & also the most advanced for his times, was definitely Akbar. There isn't any doubt about this!

The rest were as cruel or kind as each other. Akbar used to be cruel too before Din-E-Ilaahi & his Immense secularity came into play.

Yes, Aurangzeb was the cruelest & also the most in-tolerant. He had no humour & was more of a megalomaniac than all of them combined! Which is saying just way too much!!!

Noor Jahan was was the one who helped him marry her.. I don't think he would have wanted to kill her

😆

Look, all kings whether mughal or not kept many concubines and wives.. This has got nothing to do with kindness.

Noor Jehan was the one who delayed the marriage. In the sense that she instigated Jehangir to keep the marriage hanging, this was one of the reasons amongst many, that Shah Jahan hated his step-mother.

Many many people hated Noor Jehan. She had un-precedented effect & power as an Empress & she wasn't a normal Empress content with limited power & immense wealth. She wanted POWER.

And the worst part? She got it ALL. 😳

Shah Jahan hated her & wanted to have her killed. It was Mumtaz Mahal who stopped him. So he banished her to a huge mansion in Lahore with her her favourite eunuch, Hoshiyar they say. From here she had a mausoleum constructed for her hubby, Jehangir. 😳

Yes he had 60 wives who committed sati on his funeral pyre
jehangir and he had a fight because he supported khusrau in succession despite akbar wanting salim as emperor and khusrau revolted thrice and attempted to kill his father twice(recorded) by sending assasins
so jehangir and he had a fight and jehangir removed him fron his official post in court
