Prayer is obligatory for the Muslim whatever state he/she is in, so long as he remains of sound mind. If a person is sick but is able to pray standing, then he should pray standing; if he cannot, then he should pray sitting; if he is unable to do that, then he should pray lying on his side; if he cannot do that then he should pray lying on his back, because of the report narrated by al-Bukhaari (1066) from 'Imraan ibn Husayn, who said: I had haemorrhoids, so I asked the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and he said: "Pray standing, and if you cannot, then (pray) sitting, and if you cannot then (pray) on your side."

You can read more about the status of prayer in Islam on this website (If interested) http://islamqa.info/en/33694

Hope I helped 😊

No it's sunnah to have the hands close together, therefore not compulsory, I've seen many people do it as Zoya does

Someone here also said aomething about men and women equality... just so u know, I'm a big time feminist, and being equal doesn't mean being the same, thus the anatomical differences in the bodies.. and because of these differences in body shape, the postures are different
Other than that, if women are not allowed to look at men, men are also not allowed to look at women; iif women have a dress code, then so do men; both men and women are required to aquire education (it is obligatory on both sexes); men and women are equal partners in marriage, responsibilities are divided equally; there is nothing such as dowry in Islam, although if a girl's parents want to give anything to their daughter, they can, and so can a boy's parents, it could be as little as a penny, or be nothing at all.. the girl always remains her parents daughter, even after her marriage.. it's no trade happening there (beti ko vida kr diya isska yeh matlab nhi k ab woh unki nhi hai)
