While in the sub continent I was taught that man and woman should pray differently.
But I was also taught that you should not watch TV in Ramadan at least 😉

a) I am not a Muslim so cannot vouch for how one prays
b) Irrespective of whether it was right or wrong, the sense of calm Zoya had about her was beautiful
c) This is a forum that does not propagate preaching (but everyone does) so you can put forth your "this is so so wrong" too
e) It is at the end of the day a show but I am sure Gul Khan has scored some brownie points with God because she is doing a commendable job

Let's just be appreciative shall we?

Agree with you..lets enjoy..😊

ok even i dont pray like im supposed to. Qubool Hai is about a normal Muslim family. They aren't even that conservative. NO ONE is perfect when they pray. no reason to be a perfectionist.

I know tht but I was just concerned tt people who are not very educated regarding this might follow.. and besides some girls might actually do it that must be why she is doing it
And to be fair, i never said anything about her standing position, it was the takbeer ( niyat) position and du'a position i was talking about

Hands are supposed to be clasped at bra strap length and that's how Zoya does it.

And besides, why are we nitpicking? I'm pretty sure that shows don't stay true to other religions either. And that's why they are just shows. She ain't going to hell because her arms aren't raised high enough.

I agree.. a true prayer comes from the heart and it really doesn't matter how a person prays as long as the niyat (intention) behind kt is to do it for Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) jee, but Iif u really do it from the heart and with right intentions then there might come a day when u wanna perfect it.. by my post I didn't mean to offend anyone or hurt any feelings, I also know it is just a show, but I just felt tht I should write how I felt, isn't that what we're here to do?

i am a muslim and i pray regularly. men and women do pray differently but I consider things like posture to be petty.. what matters is your niyat (intention)..if we start noticing these little things it takes away from the beauty of islam that gul is trying to portray with so much conviction.

Look guys I didn't mean to offend or hurt anyone here... so spare me all the hate please... I was just sharing something I felt good or bad about, which is wht this forum is for... now I'm not any scholar or neither am I a perfect follower, but this is what I knew and I wanted to share it... so I came here.. doesn't mean tht I think it's reality or something... I k ow it's a drama and she is not even a muslim, but I feel if one does something it should be done perfectly.. I kinda strive for perfection at everything I do, although what counts the most are the intentions, as per the islamic saying, "all deeds (and their rewards) are based on intentions" and I am no one to judge anyone, so I apologize if anyone felt tht I was judging, I was just sharing a thought

Why is it when they are so many ways to learn the religion correctly, you are so concerned about muslim girls learning about the religion from this show? Aren't you worried then that they might learn to be like Razia or Tanveer? Why would they only learn the bad things that Zoya does, can they not ever learn the good things?
Also int his day and age, where men and women do everything equally, and If a man prays with his hands in one way and he gets to go to heaven, why would a woman not be able to do the same!
As someone else said, regardless of where your hands are placed, its what is in your heart that matters. So if Tanveer were to pray with her hands in the correct place, does she get to go to heaven after all her misdeeds?
