This SS starts from the point where Asad and Dilshad patch-up. All four of them (i.e. Asad, Dilshad, Najma and Tanveer) hug each other, completing the picture of a happy family, while Zoya looks at them longingly, with tears blurring her vision. No one bothered to notice her...look at her..and see how that girl, who was always there for this family...was now standing at one corner, as if isolated from the rest.
But there were one pair of eyes that knew what the girl was going through...and he could so feel her pain. Despite wanting to go and bring her with the rest of the family..he couldn't muster up the courage to do so. Reason--their encounters after he left her alone in the jungle, Zoya's accident, her avoiding him, snubbing him...that guilt of making her life hell was stopping Asad from taking those few steps towards the girl...or even look at her!
Zoya walked back to her room and the rest of the people sat in the lounge to spend some family time together after quite a few days. After a while, Asad received a call from office and he excused hismelf to go and tend to the urgent task.
And now, the SS starts...
Of Pain, Remorse, and...LOVE!!!

It was around 8pm that Asad came back from office...tired and drained. He loosened his tie as he entered from the main door and literally fell on the couch to relax for a while.
It was almost dinner time, and thus, he was expecting the other family members and guests to come out of their rooms to have their meal. While waiting for them, he reclined on the couch, laid his head on the back rest and closed his eyes. The last few days had been very exhausting for him..sooo much happening...and it seemed that his mental peace had gone for a long walk in some far away place. And then, the happenings on Zoya's front...that seemed to have taken his heart on some long route journey as well!
After a while, Dilshad's voice brought him out of his thoughts, that were wandering around Zoya...how she was sitting sooo close to him when they woke up in that house on the highway...how gorgeous she was looking in that saree...and then, he going into that angry mode and leaving her alone there...her accident...collapsing in his arms...her sad, tear-filled eyes on their way back...and her completely changed demeanor after they reached home.
Soon Najma and Tanveer also joined Dilshad...and they all approached the kitchen and dining table.
Asad took a deep breath...and lazily got up from the couch and headed towards the table. Najma was organizing his table mat, napkin, plate, glass and cutlery. The food was on the table. Tanveer was sitting on the chair next to Najma...and by the time Asad reached his chair, Najma had settled in her fixed place too. Dilshad was also seated on her chair...but, the chair next to her was empty!
Asad's eyes looked at that empty chair...and it pinched his heart.
"Zoya...where is she? Why hasn't she come out to have dinner? Is she okay? Hope she is fine..."
All tiredness, all other thoughts, everything just vanished...and all Asad could think was about Zoya not being there in the dining area. He wanted to rush to her room to see whether she was fine...why didn't she join the rest of the family for dinner...has she already eaten...or has she ordered her favorite pizza and is enjoying it in her room?! But in the presence of his mom, sister and friend...he didn't find it appropriate to go after Zoya...or even voice his thoughts and concern.
With uneasiness surrounding his heart, he dragged his chair and sat. The atmosphere of the house appeared strangely quiet to him...the three women sitting on his either sides were also very quite..lost...and appeared sad!
Dilshad was lost in her thoughts...she was eating her food quite mechanically, her face devoid of any expressions. Najma also presented the same picture. Tanveer was pretty normal...but her normalcy didn't matter to Asad. He knew that there was something wrong. And then Zoya's absence...his heart was getting more n more restless.
He couldn't ask directly about Zoya...so, he framed the question in his signature way...i.e. the way he talks about her in front of his family.
"Ami...what happened? Your guest has forgotten the rules of this house that we all have dinner together..and at fixed time..?"
His typical indirect, taunting words...Asad was sure that this was the best way to ask about Zoya...without making it obvious in front of the three ladies that he was getting worried for her.
Dilshad didn't reply...
And that unsettled Asad even more...
"Ami...what happened? Why are you so lost? Is everything okay..?"
The worry for Zoya was joined by this worry for his mother too...who was physically sitting there, next to him...but was mentally somewhere else.
He looked at Najma..
"Najma...what happened? Why is Ami so lost? Is she feeling alright? Should I call the doctor...?"
There was urgency in his tone..
After taking a few seconds to answer...Najma replied in a very slow tone..."No, no...Ami is fine.."
Asad left the spoon...and rested his arms on the table to lean on them.
"Najma...Ami...will you please tell me what is wrong? Why are you both so lost...?"
He looked first at Dilshad...and then towards Najma...expecting an answer.
There was silence from both sides...but to his relief, Tanveer spoke..
"Woh...Khala and Najma are sad and worried. Actually...ummm...Khala's guest, that girl Zoya..."
The mention of Zoya...and Asad's heart started beating faster...his anxiousness and worry reached their peak...and his mind went blank. "What about Zoya? What happened to her..?" His mind just echoing these thoughts.
His eyes were fixed on Tanveer...expecting her to complete her sentence...tell him about Zoya. But Tanveer had taken a pause...
Before she could complete...Asad heard Dilshad's voice...weak and broken.
"Zoya has left..."
It took a few seconds for Asad to register these words from his mom.
"Zoya has left!!...What??...Zoya has L.E.F.T?"
Finally those words hit his mind...his heart...his soul...and everything around him seemed to come to a standstill, after suffering a strong and intense jolt...!!!
