I meant mahaan Purvi. Even if DK asked him to make his marriage work, that doesnt necessarily mean he had to get intimate before being certain of what he wants..he wasnt vowed for it like Purvi did. Thats why I feel he is a weak character. Cant make his own decisions. Doesnt deserve either of the women.

On the contrary, he offered her the kind of assurance that he thought would suffice in the absence of a passionate declaration of love...he gave her sex...speaks for his understanding of what a man-woman relationship is all about,..and Ovi was willing to take what he offered...to add it to her memory pile...because now she has been effectively placed on the wronged woman pedestal by her beloved father...who has conveniently forgotten that his dear daughter willingly contrived to make this mess happen in the first place...

I disagree with you on the last part...I think all of them deserve each other and no better...I have never come across a bunch of such weakly etched characters in all my serial viewing life!

But thats a question mark again.. if even aftr having sex, he has to think whether he loves Purvi or Ovi, that really makes me doubt his integrity.

Hey...he's been doing it all this while...why would love enter the equation suddenly...he cares for Ovi certainly...he recognises her as his wife and he responds to physical stimuli like the next man...that is the sum and substance of it...his poor lovelorn heart is all Purvi's...so what if she may not even want it anymore...pathetic state of affairs...and honestly, integrity is one of the last words I would associate with this show...that is why I made a post earlier...how can I connect with characters when I cannot dredge up anything beyond pity and mild contempt for them all!

The starter of this post thank you, good topic. After accepting and admitting that her marriage to Arjun was a sumjotha, a compromise, a deal, how can Ovi sleep with him? How did she manage to snatch one last "happy" moment to live with for the rest of her life as she leaves her "husband" whom she stole in an unholy deal? Again Ovi shows her selfish nature. She took one night without asking. She knew when she told Manav to go that she was going to be leaving in the morning after taking her pleasure from Arjun, how then does she justify herself? Ovi has accted more immorally than Purvi did. Yes, she and Arjun had sex before marriage. Ovi may have had sex with a man who she bound in marriage dishonestly, but to do so when she knew that she was ending it is just plain despicable.
Arjun upon realising that Ovi has left, he puts his head in his hands, is it because he realises that once again he has been conned to satisfy her physical / emotional / irrational needs?
