IMO Arjun has already started developing feelings for her and I think somewhere Ovi realizes it too, but it's not wrong to want to be the number one woman in your husband's life. She gave in because it was special for her as she has always loved him, and she could see that this time she mattered for him too. He wasn't trying to fulfill some sort of duty towards her, I felt they emotionally connected at this point therefore them having sex was natural. But what prevented her from staying is just that no matter how important she was to him somewhere she felt Purvi would always be more important and her self respect doesn't allow her to stay back on those regards. She did say that he loved Purvi and that was one of her concerns, but she also stated she was leaving not just because of that but because she wanted to find herself and set him free. By leaving she wasn't trying to punish him more like giving him his freedom back, because she admitted in the message that if this marriage was hard for her it wasn't easy for him either.

Arjun has always had some kind of feelings for Ovi...be they affection or whatever...the only difference is that their relationship has moved on from platonic to physical...it was pretty obvious that Arjun went to woo Ovi based on his father's words...asking him to save his marriage...nowhere did it appear that he was propelled by love for Ovi...if that were the case, he would not have been so unsure when he responded to Manav yesterday.
I am sorry but if your self-respect can allow you to sleep with a man even when you believe that you come second or whatever, I don't see what the issue really is! Sleeping with him once is fine but not living with him in the long-term? I don't get that logic. How does this moment become special? When you still believe that he harbours feelings for another woman? Going by that, am sure sex between them was always consensual. So, why is this moment more special than any of those? Unless of course, it is Arjun's decision to give up Pari that makes it special. If that is the case, it makes me think even less of Ovi. I lost all respect for Arjun when he did that anyway!
My point is very simple. At the risk of repeating myself ad nauseam, I don't buy Ovi's stance of wronged woman. She went into this marriage with her eyes fully open. After her husband publicly humiliated her by confessing his love for another woman, she still chose to stay with him when he asked her for another chance. She slept with him even before his declaration of love for another woman had grown cold! What is love? Is it some tap that you can turn off and on at will? It was stupid of her to even imagine that Arjun would fall out of love with Purvi just like that. When you marry a man who is involved with another woman, you accept him with his past baggage. You go into the relationship knowing that the odds are against you! If things work out in your favour, then great! If they don't, you have your own decision to blame!
Again, Arjun or Purvi or Onir or anyone else is not no angel. But neither is Ovi, I don't feel for her any more or any less than I do for any of the others. I rest my case!
Thanks for your responses. I respect your viewpoint completely even if I may not agree with it!

LOL I agree with you to some parts except that Ovi-Arjun intimacy being scandalous than Arvi. I cannot watch Arvi barn thing till date. It makes me all squirmy. And I started following this show for them to begin with. That was the final nail in the coffin for butchering them.
I saw this episode and rather than rushing with Arjun-Ovi intimacy in physical sense, I wish they had written it with more sensitivity. Ovi should have taken time to accept him once again. Some self-thoughts and realization on how flawed Ovi had grown into an indispensable part in Arjun's life would have made it clear for him as well as the audience. For me, it looked more like since Purvi has moved on, Arjun tried to convince Ovi to stay back and she is used once again. Wish he had developed more remorse towards mahaan Purvi. Looks like that will remain as my dream forever.😡 And I wish Ovi hadnt accepted him. He's a loser, period.

I agree...Ovi has not realized her part in all this...and she never will...and what character evolution are we talking about so long as she does not accept it...people talk of Purvi messing with Ovi's marriage...everybody seems to forget that there would never have been a marriage but for Purvi's misguided sense of sacrifice...and no, Purvi never came between Arjun and Ovi...she had no clue then that they were a couple...Arjun should have been upfront with Ovi even if it meant hurting her...so, he was at wrong there...but even after knowing Arjun and Purvi were in love, Ovi wantonly and wilfully contrived to break them up...by dangling the Archana happiness carrot in front of Purvi...she knew fully well that Purvi would never say no...she gambled on Purvi's love for Archana and her sense of gratitude...and she got it right...Purvi handed over Arjun to Ovi...but, I don't think Arjun falling in love with Ovi was part of the deal...but Purvi, the fool, even contrived to make that happen...because she wanted to protect her adopted family...at a time when a woman needs the warmth and security of her family, she chose to put herself on the streets quite literally...nobody asked her to do it...and she is not saying anybody did,.,she is not blaming anybody else for her actions...she is willing to suffer the consequences..Ovi is however simply not willing to accept or suffer the consequences of her own actions...she wants to blame the world and his wife for it...in the first place, I really wonder about this love for Arjun that everyone talks about..what love makes you break the heart of the man or woman you love...yes, Purvi broke Arjun's heart too...but at least, she was upfront about it..,she went and begged him for her mother's happiness... Ovi did not even deign to talk to Arjun about his feelings for Purvi,.,she just went ahead and took...that is not love...at least not in my books...or at least, it is a very toxic and selfish form of love...People talk of how lucky Purvi is to have Onir's love...at this point, Purvi's own feelings are not quite clear...given that, I would say unwanted love is more a burden than a blessing...it constantly reminds of great this person is to love you so selflessly while you are unable to reciprocate...what a bitch you are that you are not able to give him love in return for the security and warmth he gave you...but unfortunately, love is not made to order...Anyway, all of them are reaping the rewards of their own actions...let them all stew, I say...they all deserve it equally!

I was talking of the act in principle...not the aesthetics 😃...and no, not scandalous...I did not find it particularly moral or immoral or whatever...Yes, Arjun turned to Ovi cause he had no one else to...and because his dad told him it was the right thing to do...so yes, he did use her...but he did so with her full consent...she slept with him believing that he loved another woman more...so, she allowed herself to be used...and in the process of collecting special moments even knowing she was going to leave, she used him too...maybe they should have just told each other the truth...And then gone ahead and used each other...would have been honest at least...As I see it, it is pretty much even stevens now!
"used each other" cracked me up. 😆 I would still not call Ovi using Arjun cuz she genuinely loved him. The 'reformed' Ovi, I mean. Her leaving him is just a matter for leap and masala following that I guess. Arjun has always taken advantage of her bcuz tomorrow if Purvi asks him to hide something from Ovi, he will obediently do that. I am quite sure about that.😆 Hence I feel, he should have first made up his mind of what he exactly wants, tell Ovi of how much Purvi matters to him and how much importance does Ovi have in his life before initiating physical intimacy. A proper closure was required to get into the next level. And I expected it this time bcuz he was not forced to do this as per someone's request.
