This topic is about all the typical stuff in Bollywood. It's about the typical stuff which has been there for several decades, like for 50 years, 40 years, 100 years etc. Let's make it a fun topic.

I have listed some typical stuff, you all can list the stuff you think is typical about bollywood:

- The servant has always been called: "Ramu Kaka"

- Most of the times the songs pop up from no where.

- The songs typically get connected through the scenes in this way: girl/boy blush and starres at his/her lover then start thinking and then in the next shot the person's thoughts have been visualized and we see lots of colors, make up, background dancers, clothes and lots of dancing and music 😆

- Bollywood movies are incomplete without: "mujhe bachao", "tum yaha is waqt?", "Mein Tumhari bache Ke ma banewali hoon" dialogues

- Rape scenes

- Lots of religious stuff and superstitious stuff

- The mother is always shown as someone who is weak.

- A song is incomplete without background dancers

- Kissing scenes gets hidden through the use of umbrella and love making scenes especially honeymoon scenes never gets shown the light just turns off and it's up to the audience to imagine what positions etc. the couple is doing.

- Lots of melodrama

- A boy confess his love to a girl like this: "if you don't marry me I will commit suicide" basically forces the girl to marry him and that's viewed as romantic 🤔

- In romantic movies the lead actor's name is typically: "Raj, Rahul or Prem"

- The girl in romantic movies are shown as a siti savitri always who is very much traditional girl and against western stuff => will wear a sari instead of a long dress even though the sari is revealing but no problems there because she is allowed to wear what ever she wants as long as it is indian clothes cause her father believes only western attire is revealing 😆 (typical for SB heroines)

- The scene where the mother or grandmother is forcing their children/grandchildren to eat is raped badly in almost all movies 😆

- The father always has a gun, will always pick it from the living room when he finds out his daughter is in love with someone but in the end he will never shoot the guy.

- The couple goes out and it's cold and the guy puts his jacket around the girl and this ALWAYS makes the girl fall in love with the guy.

- The boy stalks the girl when he falls in love with the girl. Follows the girl in bus, when she walks outside, when she is at school even when she is at home.

- It is always the other daughter-in-law who is the villain when the movie is a family drama

- Entry of actors and actresses normally happens through a song.

- Punjabi people shown as some freaks, weirdos, hyper, screaming, shouting, singing, always eating, bad manners when they go to travel like always put food into their bags when they go to airport. They always play comedy roles and they all the same.

- Romantic songs always shoot abroad

- Unrealistic scenarios: actress wears a dress and is dancing on snow, during winter there is colorful trees and flowers

- A movie is incomplete without "Ashirwad" from a bunch of elders.

But still it 70s,80s,90s films were FAR BETTER than now-a-days Films.

They had some story,But now-a-days 90% of the film is about LSD.

But one thing I used to hate abt that time films were the heroine's costumes and rape scenes.

U 4got 1 line"Baghwan k liye mujhe chod do"😆
In one film shakti Kapoor's reply to that line was"Agar tujhe Baghwan k liye chod do to mein kya kao prasad?

Half of things is what defines BW!!! And so I adore the especially popping of songs randomly and dance sequences in which every person in the frame knows step befor hand :p

I was fine with the heroines costumes, it's just the hypocrisy when annoyed me so much. Like if there was a conservative family which was always the case, then the daughter was only allowed to clothes which was not revealing. She would wear a sari but never wear a full covered dress.

LMFAO at that shakti kapoor dialogue 😆

Another typical thing I find weird and funny in the 70s and 80s movies were hero and heroine dancing in romantic songs.I mean u don't dance when u express ur love to ur beloved. 😆
But I agree with ddds. The quality of films then were much better than today's films. Most of the movies had original scripts unlike today where people just copy either Hollywood films or south indian films or remake old movies.

also most of the movies must have the hero or heroine as a poor person whom his/her lover's family rejects 😆

Another funniest part-if a gal vomits then people assume she's pregnant. And the doctor checks the pulse of the gal and announces her pregnancy. 🤪 🤣 How can one find out a gal's pregnancy by checking her pulse?
