The entire team of Dharma Productions partied with the actor and some of their common friends till the wee hours at his Bandra pad
Siddharth Malhotra had no particular plans for his birthday on Wednesday, January 16. Until his mentor, Karan Johar, decided to make the day extra special for his 'Student of the Year'. Turns out it was one of Siddharth's most memorable birthdays in a long time.
The actor, who started out as an Assistant Director with Karan's company, and went on to make his acting debut with Karan's film, was taken by surprise when the entire team of Dharma, including assistants, directors and Karan, barged into his house late on Wednesday evening. They proceeded to celebrate his birthday in style, complete with the cake cutting, lots of music and delicious food.
A source who was present that day revealed, "It was just how people celebrate their birthdays. We all gathered at Siddharth's house and cut a cake and had lots of fun. Siddharth and Varun danced to the tunes of their recent release, and Alia Bhatt joined them. Karan got a tad emotional toward the end as all his three finds (and friends) are now gearing up for their upcoming projects." "Initially, Siddharth had thought he would just step out for dinner with his friends and unwind back at home. And then all this happened suddenly," said the source.
