Salman Khan has said that he believes that a film will cross the 300 crore barrier.

The actor, who has scored several blockbuster movies including Dabangg, Ready Bodyguard and Ek Tha Tiger, said that he was confident that Dabangg 2 could reach the 200 crore mark,


"Let us touch 200 crore and then we will see about 300 crore," he said.

"Fan following increases, theatre prices increase so there's bound to be an increase in the collections as well. I know one thing for sure, in our lifetime, a film will eventually cross the 300, 400, 500-crore barrier."

Responding to a question about the world ending according to the Mayan calendar on December 21, the actor said: "I would request Santa to not end the world. Since Dabangg 2 is releasing, I would ask him to make Chulbul Pandey save the world from ending."

Khan reprises his role as Inspector Chulbul Pandey in the forthcoming sequel to the hit. The character is said to be even more violent than he was in Dabangg.

Also starring Sonakshi Sinha, Prakash Raj, Vinod Khanna and Arbaaz Khan, Dabangg 2 releases on 21 December.
