In case of special effects, music, actors n costumes DKDM is way better than ONS.
But storywise ONS was a LOT better than dkdm. Pointing out the crappy writing of DKDM, ONS sticked to the point and they didn't try to make the purans into a fictional piece which dkdm is seemingly trying to shove down our throats these days.😃
I never saw ONS, but this is something I've always heard about them - that they were accurate. It may well be the case, since the Sagars weren't the ones creating it.

my POV-you cant compare either of them
ONS-was in the true sense a religious show
DKDM meanwhile is a different presentation of the same story-made primarily for entertainment and is a daily soap,DKDM is a dramatized version of stories(read the BIG FAT disclaimer before the telecast-you understand the objecctive of the show there itself!)
both the approaches are contrasting!hence comparing them makes no sense
That's true, particularly when one considers the fact that at the beginning of the serial, they just packed in anything they felt like in order to glorify the Shiva-Sati love story. In terms of marketing, it was brilliant, since you had Mohit-Mouni being looked at similar to Maneet, Arjuhi, and other famous couples in Tellywood. Once the Sati role ended, the serial would otherwise have lost its audience, but for the fact that that was when mytho minded viewers started taking a greater interest.
The disclaimer though is I think standard these days, since every story is bound to be disputed by someone or the other, given the multiple Puranas. For instance, even if they had shown an authentic Tarakasura depiction from either Shiva Purana or Skanda Purana, those who learnt the story from Kanda Purana can question why Surapadman is not there. So it makes sense to have the disclaimer, no matter how meticulously they try to stay 'true to the original'.
