He's really treating her badly. I can understand that his intention is to not let her even for a moment think that he has forgotten about the contract. But the behaviour cannot really be justified. After all, this woman has put her career on hold (for whatever reason) and he should show some cordiality. I know affection is not possible. But cordiality is.
BTW, in this period, where has The Simmi Diwan vanished?? Or do we see her directly after 8 years?? Making life miserable for her only grandchild? Oh...that would be nice...the interactions between them. If the writers pull it off properly, then we could have some really good scenes between the kid and Simmi Diwan.
