Because think about it. Kareena & Siaf admitted their relationship in October, and all reports suggest it started in August. So they admitted it wtihin 2 months. I remember all the affair rumours with Kareena & Shahdi also started aroudn 2004.

Plus Saif put the pressure on her because he was so possessive then...

She couldn't possibly play with people then otherwise her image (which already was trash post Shahid-breakup would have become considerably worse)

With Shahid ... she was young, single and happening and she could choose to flirt with her fans and play games like "Hey we are just friends". Also she wanted to appear unattached (which is better for box office - at least for women in BW anyway)

Desu, I think she was with Shahid before a bit before Fida. I'm kind of sure of this.
