The sunbeams filtered through the white curtains falling on their sleeping figures. Slowly Phulwa opened her eyes as the sun gently awakened her greeting her with a bright new day. As her eyes adjusted to the light she smiled at his sleeping face right before her. Leisurely she tried to get up but stopped as her hand got stuck in something. She brought her hand forward to see that the single remaining bangle on her hand had entangled with the red threads on Abhay's hand. Smiling, she slowly pried it free.

Looking down at his calm sleeping face she felt a sudden urge to bend down and plant a kiss but she feared waking him up. Shaking her head she started to move out of the quilt but then stopped as she examined the room; their clothes lay strewn all over, dresser items on the floor, beanbag almost ripped apart. What happened here last night? Her mouth made a little O as images of last night raced through her mind. Clutching the covers tightly against her she started to move back until she bumped into him, waking him up.

'Abhay...Abhay utho!'

'Kya Phulwa, subah subah kya hua?'

'Subah? Suraj sar pe chad aya hai aur aap...woh chodein aap uthein na. dekhein kaamre kya haal hai! Aur hamare ka-'she stopped, her words hanging there.

Finally he opened his eyes and looked at her. 'Hamare kya?'

She looked sideways hinting to the clothes. He raised one eyebrow as he scanned the room then looked at her with a serious expression.

'Tu?'

'Tu? Abhay tu yeh ke-' she stopped as she realized he was grinning and moving towards her.

He knew she was trapped but before he could reach her she lunged forward and grabbed his shirt that was lying at the foot of the bed.

'Yeh kya kar rahi ho Phulwa?'

Quickly putting on his shirt she got off the bed.

'Aap ki shirt pehen rahi hoon aur kya?' she said turning towards him.

He gave her a top to bottom look with a mischievous smile playing in his eyes. She looked down as color raised in her cheeks, feeling extremely shy she tried to pull down the shirt which barely reached her thighs. Abhay slowly getting up started to move towards her but again before he could even reach the end of the bed she ran to the washroom.

Showered and dressed in a new petticoat and blouse she came into the room only to find Abhay again sound asleep. She called his name; he stirred a little but didn't get up. Feeling bolder she stood above him, and then leaned forward flicking her wet hair over his face. As water droplets fell on him he woke up calling her name. Giggling she threw the towel on him and ran to the other side of the room.

'Chaalein ab jaldi jaldi uth kar tayar hojaien. Kaam pe nahi jana.'

Growling he got up and went to change. Just as she finished doing the folds of her sari and started to tie the knot of her blouse she felt his hand taking over hers. As his fingers started doing their work, she let her own arms rest. Holding her by the shoulders he turned her around and looked deep into her eyes.

'Kya dekh rahe hain aap?' she asked him.

'Tumhein.'

'Kyun?'

'Because that's my favorite thing to do.' He replied in a husky voice.

She blushed lightly and trying hard to control the smile she pushed him back a little and went to the cupboard.

'Chalein bahut hogaya aaram, ab aap kaam pe jaien.' She said taking out his uniform and placing it on the bed.

He grumbled, 'Jana zaroori hain?'

'Bahut zaroori hai. Hum naashta lagate aap tayar hokar ayein.' She ordered him in a stern voice and left.
