Sony SAB’s Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki – Ganesh Kartikey captivates audiences with its soulful storytelling and powerful portrayal of the divine Shiv Parivar. While the show captures grandeur on screen, what truly brings authenticity to the narrative is the quiet, focused preparation that unfolds behind the scenes.
For Avinesh Rekhi, who steps into the revered role of Lord Shiva, the journey begins not with dialogue or costume, but with stillness. To channel the calm, grace, and commanding presence of Lord Shiva, Avinesh has consciously incorporated meditation into his daily routine, allowing him to align his mind and body with the energy the character demands.
Speaking about his process, Avinesh shares, “Mahadev’s strength lies in his stillness. To portray that calm and balance on screen, I felt it was important to cultivate it within myself first. Meditation has helped me slow down, centre my thoughts, and maintain the posture and composure the character demands. It allows me to stay fully present on set, especially during emotionally intense or silent moments, where Mahadev’s power is expressed through restraint rather than words. Over time, this practice of doing meditation has become an integral part of my preparation, helping me seamlessly embody the serene yet powerful aura of the deity before the camera starts rolling.”
