Khushi woke up to the sun's rays shining on her face. Khushi stood up, quickly folded her bedding material and headed into "their" bedroom to put it back into the cupboard. As she entered the room she caught a glance at Arnav who was sleeping peacefully. Khushi carefully opened the cupboard and placed the bedding material trying her hardest to not wake him up. Actually when she thought of it, she should wake him as he was geting a "little" late. But she didn't want to get yelled at again from him. Khushi went over to her luggage which was placed in the corner of the room. She bent down and took a sari out and proceeded towards the washroom when suddenly her eye caught the calender sitting on the coffee table. The calender said that today was holi. Usually, Khushi would be jumping around in excitement but ever since she married Arnav her life had become a nightmare and she blames it all on Arnav. She ignored that today was Holi and went to the washroom.
After 10 minutes she came out sat at the dressing table. She put on sindoor and adjusted her mangtika that reminisced the scene where Arnav had harshly filled her forehead with sindoor. Khushi then slipped her bangles on which reminded her of the time when not ASR had bought her bangles but when Arnav had. She let out a big sigh at how her life had become lop-sided. Her family had disowned her and everyone was angry at her. If you saw this woman you wouldn't be able to believe this used to be the bubbly Khushi Kumari Gupta because now all she was was a depressed and tortured woman. Just a few days ago, Khushi decided to just live for the ones she loved. Suddenly her hand hit the bangle box and it fell on the floor with a big CRASH!!
Arnav woke up with a jerk with the expression of what-the-hey happened in here. He saw Khushi picking up the bangles on the floor and understood what happened. To Khushi's surprise, Arnav didn't say anything to her. Arnav's sight went to his clock on his bedside table and that got his temper to rise.
A: KHUSHI KUMARI GUPTA! tum yeh kya rahi ho? mujhe uthaya kyu nahi?
K: Its Khushi Singh Raizada and excuse me for letting you sleep peacefully because I couldn't!
With that said, Khushi left the room leaving Arnav with his mouth hanging. He wondered what was wrong with her, but then he decided to ignore it and got out of bed to get dressed.
Downstairs, Khushi saw Nani, Anjali, Mami, Akash, Payal, Mama, everyone engrossed in Holi preparations. She saw Anjali and went to her.
K: Anjaliji, aap yeh thali hume dijiye, hum le jayenge, aapko aram karna chahiye
A: koi zarurat nahi hai, khushiji. hum khud kar sakte hai.
Anjali left, leaving Khushi shocked at Anjali's response. She thought atleast Anjali would understand her apparently not.
Khushi's face was full with depression and sadness, but covered those emotions with a fake smile on her face. As Anjali left, Khushi took the rangoli plate and headed out to the poolside to draw the rangoli. After 30 minutes of hard work, she was successful in creating a rangoli with a design of a peacock colored with extraordinary colors. Khushi sat on the poolside chair wiping the sweat of her brow.
Bhangwala: Madam aap bhang lengi?
Khushi startled a little at hearing the voice. She didn't even notice that the bhangwala had set up this stall there. She was totally oblivious the whole time.
K: nahi... shukriya.
K: nahi... shukriya.
As the guests had started to arrive, Khushi went to welcome them.
K: n..namastey Nirmala chachi
Nirmala: namastey badi bahu, kaisi ho tum?
K: hum... hum thik hai.
Nirmala: tum thik ho? tumhara chehra dekhe toh aisa nahi lag raha hai. Humne toh suna ki tumhare ghar walo ne tumse rishtaah tod diya? a re re re re yeh bahut bura ho gaya na?
Khushi's eyes had started to tear and she caught Arnav looking at her with anger in this eyes. She knew Arnav was going to do something out of control and decided to not let it happen.
K: Chachiji, Naniji aur Anjaliji living room mein intazaar kar rahe hai.
K: Chachiji, Naniji aur Anjaliji living room mein intazaar kar rahe hai.
As soon as Nirmala and the other ladies went to the living room, Khushi ran to the poolside with tears streaming down her cheeks.
At the poolside,
K: hai devi maiyya, humne kisika kya bigada hai ki aap hume yeh saza de rahi hai?
Bhangwala: Madam, ab lengi aap bhang?
Khushi looked at him with angry tears in her eyes. In her mind, dude can u please stop creeping up behind me?
Khushi was shocked once again at how the bhangwala appeared at the worse times. She was really mad at how her life and how annoying the bhangwala was. She glared at the big glass of bhang on the tray for a long time but then took it and drank it one big gulp. The bhang had already taken effect and she asked for another one.
K: Bhaiyya aur ek d...dijjiye na?
The bhangwala gladly gave her one more and it went down her throat quicker this time. She asked for one more and reached out for it when another hand came in and grabbed it before she could.
K: HEY!!!
