Hi Everyone,

I've been hooked on all the FF and I am a fairly new member, so I thought I would start my own FF as my imagination is running wild!! If you guys like it, I will definitely continue 😳 So please comment and hit the Like button.

Prologue

She was sitting in her office lost in her thoughts.. The call she had received earlier from Anjali Di had surprised her. It was about Jiji's and Jiju's surprise anniversary party and Anjali Di had insisted that she fly down for it. If she was going to go to Delhi, she might as well spend at least a week there taking care of the work in the Delhi Office.. But then she had gone to pain striking efforts to avoid Arnav. She moved to Bombay and only went back to Delhi when she knew that he was out of town. The rest of them understood her hesitation to see him again after what had happened on Payal's wedding day. Things hadn't ended well and she had sworn to him and to herself to put as much distance as she can from him. And she had to figure out how she was going to do that during the anniversary party.

"I can figure it out, I always do" she said out loud and called her PA to ask for them to arrange her travel plans for that weekend.

Meanwhile at the London Airport...

Arnav was not happy at all about this party business. He avoided these functions for a reason. He couldn't be bothered with all the hoopla that went with it. He knew there was no running away from "her" this time. Di had already informed him that she will be attending the event and that he better be on his best behavior if not for the rest of the family at least for the pregnant Payal.

He didn't want too. He thought to himself of what had happened.. And he couldn't believe how he had reacted or how ashamed he was at himself for what he did and said. Deep down he knew he was wrong and she had done not at fault. But the fact that she was being as stubborn as him drove him crazy. He did not want to loose to anyone. Especially not to her. While sitting around waiting he heard a huge shriek behind him.

"ASR, we've been looking for your everywhere" La said happily with her hand scooped under her finace.

Viraj looked at her with a beaming smile and they started walking towards him.

"You know ASR, you can pout all you want, but cheer up na!!, Viraj Please tell him to cheer up"

Viraj smiled at ASR and rolled his eyes at La's bubbliness. ASR and Viraj both knew why La was so excited. The big rock of an engagement ring on her finger said it all.

"ASR do you think Di and Nani will approve of my Viraj?? I hope they do!! I can't wait to surprise them and tell them about our plans"

Arnav still hadn't spoken a word because he knew what La's surprise would mean for him and Kushi. He knew La was close to her and he knew that he was in for a rough ride for the next 3 months.

Arnav finally smiled at La and said "I think they will actually, but Mami Ji might want to fix everything herself since you seem to be her favorite. I hope your ready to deal with all of that"

"And why cant you just elope Lavanya?? It would save everyone the trouble" said Arnav.

"No ASR, I want the tradition. I want it all. That's what I learned when I was at your place and that's how I intend to live my life now, so stop being such a party pooper"

"Let it be ASR, I already tried to talk her into running away with me and she refused. So what my baby wants, my baby gets" With that Viraj placed a kiss on La's forehead with a smile. And all 3 walked towards their gate to board the flight to Delhi.

Chapter 1

As she landed at the Delhi airport, she quickly fixed her duppatta around her neck. She picked her favourite Red Shalwar for the trip. While she examined herself to make sure that everything was in place, she smiled at the thought that no matter how much money she had, she still loved to dress the way she used too. She wasn't going to let her wealth dictate who she was as a person. Well maybe not exactly the way she used to dress she thought while fixing her beautiful Anarkali style shalwar. She had several different Anarkali Suits, but this one was her favourite and the most comfortable one she owned. She smirked at the thought of it being Red. "His" favourite colour. It doesn't matter she thought. It was simple, it was plain and she wasn't dressing for anyone but her self. She didn't want to think about him anymore, so she pushed her thoughts over to something better... Her family.

She smiled fondly and the thought of seeing her pregnant Jiji and the rest of the Gupta and Raizad clan. She knew that Anjali has been in mourning for over a year now over her husband and she was relieved to know that Shyam was no longer going to interfere in her life.

She spotted Akash at the waiting area and waved fondly at her Jiju who was waiting to take her home.

"Jiju!! Over here!!" she yelled from across the airport.

"Kushi Ji, Hold on I will come help with your bags"

"Jiju where is Jiji?" she asked immediately as Akash approached her.

"She's resting at home Kushi Ji, but I have a surprise for you in the car. Hurry up, Hurry up"

Before Akash had a chance to run off to the jeep, she gave him a warm hug and thought how he was the brother she never had and how blessed Jiji is for finding such a wonderful man and then followed him as he got all her luggage in the car. He then slowly opened the door only to be surprised none other than Lavanya Ji and a very handsome man that was smiling back at her

Lavanya immediately jumped out of the car and before Kushi could say anything at all hugged her yelling "Chamkili!! I missed you!!"

Kushi hugged her friend back warmly while Lavanya went on and on asking her if she liked her surprise. All the while Kushi's eyes went over to the man standing next to Akash who looked positively thrilled to them.

She pulled away from Lavanya and was about to ask her who he was when she notice the beautiful engagement ring on Lavanya's hand. It was now her turn to jump around and shriek like a 5 year old.

Lavanya then pulled the "other man" towards her and introduced Viraj as her Mangeeth. Kushi was so overwhelmed by joy that she almost forgot where she was and started rambling on to Lavanya.

"Hi Kushi Ji, It's so nice to finally meet you. Lavanya has told me so much about you and she would not stop talking about you on the flight here. ASR had to go sit in a different section just to get away from her rambling!!" he said lovingly looking at his future wife while La stuck her tongue out at him.

Suddenly the colour drained from Kushi's face when she heard "ASR".

"Wait... He's not here right???" she blurted out to them.

"No Kushi, he's at office as usual" piped in Akash

"Oh thank God" she whispered to herself.

"Anyways Vijra Ji, It's so nice to meet you!! But you Lavanya Ji.. You are in big trouble.. I spoke to you last week and you told me nothing about this. And your here in India and you didn't even let me know you were coming. I am very upset with you and you better make it up to me"

"Oh Chamkili!! I am so sorry, I was dying to tell you but I wanted to see the look on your face when you saw me, so please forgive me"

"Ok Ok" Kushi said with a smile on her face. She wasn't really mad at La, in fact she was thrilled about the news and she hugged her again very tightly. She was glad that everything worked out for her friend. She wanted to see the people that she loved happy and one by one it was all coming true.

She then moved away and looked Viraj squarely in the face.

"Viraj Ji, Lavanya Ji is like my sister.. So I really do hope you do nothing at all to hurt her or you will have to answer to me"

Although she was certain that Viraj would never hurt La, she had to tease him. And there was some truth in it. After all, this would be La's second engagement after the fiasco with that stupid Laard Governer. And she wanted everything to be perfect for La this time.

Viraj smiled back instantly realizing that Kushi was truly one of La's best friends and her intentions are as pure as they come. It reminded him of the threat that ASR threw at him when he had told him that he was going to propose to La and he made a mental note to point this out to La later on.

"Don't worry Kushi Ji, she is the most precious thing in the world to me and I would never do anything to make her unhappy. Promise ok?" He put his arm forward as a peace offering and Kushi shook it very firmly with a big smile on her face.

"Ok everyone, If we don't get Kushi to RM now, Payal will have my head on a platter, so can we please leave" said Akash.

While they all got into the car, La looked at Viraj with a knowing look that said it all. They were up to something and this was just the first part of their plan. The rest will unfold slowly and while Kushi gazed out the window at the sites of Delhi lost in the moment, she had no idea about the storm that awaited her at the Raizada house that was about to bring her crashing back to the past she decided to leave behind for good.

Chapter 2

He was pacing around his room. He was restless. He had made sure that he had a full day today so that he could avoid her. He didn't want to see her face. Those beautiful eyes that always expressed what was on her mind was not something he was ready to face.

"Beautiful ?? Why would I even think that. She's just a cunning little middle class girl that got a lucky, nothing else. There was no beauty in her" he told himself knowing that he was lying to himself.

"Damn it" he said out loud.

The truth is she was the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on. But he couldn't face the truth.

She was stubborn and righteous and out spoken. She was honest and caring and loving too. A woman that knew exactly what she wanted and said exactly what she thought.

But he knew he can't succumb to any of it. Especially not after what had happened. The past hung over him like a heavy cloud and he didn't know what to do about it.

"I won't let this happen" he told himself again.

He was supposed to be in the office all day but had to come back home since the generator went out. Now he was stuck in his room and he knew she would be getting home any minute. Di had told him that she was only staying for a week and Nani had insisted that she stay at RM rather than staying at a hotel as she intended too. Her family had also come in for the week and he knew that as much as he wanted too, it was going to be tough avoiding her. The whole house was buzzing awaiting her arrival and it was not sitting well with him.

Suddenly he felt a breeze sweep through his room and he knew she was here. He could hear all the noise downstairs and he wasn't ready to go down just yet. He knew he would have to make an appearance at dinner, but nothing more he thought.

As Kushi entered RM with the Akash, La and Viraj she could feel the breeze too. She knew he was here and her heart skipped a beat. But before she had a chance to turn back and run as her mind told her too, she was embraced by her Jiji.

"Kushi!!! Your here!! I've been waiting for you all this time."

"Jiji, I'm here now so you can let me go!!" she said with a wide grin.

But it didn't stop there.
She quickly walked over to Nani and got her blessings while giving her a big hug and ran to her parents to embrace them lovingly.

"Kushi it seems that you have forgotten us" she heard her Buaji say

"Ha ha, you have forgotten us" Piped up Mami Ji

She looked at both her aunts lovingly and ran to them to give them a big hug. She knew that Mami Ji had finally accepted Payal and the thought of her grandchild had made her a different person. A kinder person according to Jiji.

Finally she saw Anjali Di. She was still wearing White she noticed. She walked over to her slowly and hugged her.

"Kushi we are so happy you finally made it. And I'm so glad your staying for more than a few hours unlike the last few times you came to see us"

"Anjali Di, you asked me to come, so how can I refuse you"

Anjali hugged her again "I am so happy to see you, we have a lot to plan for Akash and Payal's surprise. They think they are having dinner with just us on Sunday." she whispered into Kushi's ears. "Don't worry Anjali Di, I'm here now aren't I? We can talk later tonight" Kushi responded to Anjali in whisper so that Payal doesn't get suspicious.

She let go of Anjali Ji and looked around. Everyone was there to greet her. Even Luxmi and OP had made an appearance. "Everyone except for that Laad Goverener" said kushi under her breath.

"What was that Kushi?" asked Anjali

"Nothing Anjali Di, just happy to be back with all of you"

Payal came towards her and looked at her lovingly.

"Hmmm.. You haven't been eating well have you?? You look tired and too skinny. Come with me now, I will show you to your room so that you can get some rest. Dinner will be ready in a few hours but I will get some snacks for you"

"Ok Jiji. Alright everyone, I will see you all soon at dinner, but I insist on making dessert, hope that's ok with all of you"

"Of course Kushi, but please get some rest first my dear" said Nani

"Kushi, I know I used to pretend like I hated your Jalebis, but I loved them and have been thinking about them for a while. Can you please make this old lady happy by whipping a batch of it?"

"Oh Mami Ji - Kushi only makes them when she's upset don't you remember? She's too happy now to make them aren't you Kushi?" Said Anjali smiling at Mami

"No No Mami, I will definitely make some for you tonight" Piped in Kushi with a big smile.

"If you don't, I can think of a way to get you to make them Chamkili" said Lavanya with a mischiouvs grin on her face before Kushi walked away to settle into her room.

"La my love, do you really think this will work?" Asked Viraj before he headed off to his brother's house where he was staying.

"Of course V. Those to dumb dumbs belong together. They just happen to be hard headed and stupid when it comes to the matters of the heart"

"So you think you can get Kushi to stay in Delhi after the party?"

"No just stay here, I will make sure she permanently settles into RM before we leave V"

"Ok my love, I will see you later tonight then?"

"Yes be here at 7 pm sharp because I need you to work on the next part of the plan with me before dinner"

"Will do. And your going to tell Anjali Ji about this aren't you?"

"Yes and Paya and Akash too. We all love them and want to see those 2 happy. So they will be on board for sure. Please bring Viren Bhai over for dinner alright? I want him to meet Anjali Di"

"I will!" he chimed while he walked to his car.

He knew La was playing matchmaker and he knew she was trying to give all the Raizads a happy ending. A happy ending that she got thanks to them and he was going to do everything in his power to make sure this happens because she wanted nothing more than to see his La happy"

"The things we do for love" he muttered to himself as he headed home.

Ok so the meeting between ASR and KKG are coming up. But I want you guys to get a good understanding of how all the characters play a part in this grand love story. So please be patient.

Also, I can't stop writing, so expect the next part soon!!
