Kushi had immediately packed her things and decided to get on the next flight to Mumbai the moment Arnav left her room. She was sick and tired of his antics and she wanted to get back to her old life. She called Payal as she was leaving and let her know that she will call her later once things have settled.
She had left the bangles in the room knowing he would be back to find them. She had given him her answer and he was going to have to accept it.
As she arrived at the Delhi air port and proceeded to check in, she was told that the next flight leaving to Mumbai was completely booked. Her only alternative was to hop on the flight that left 2 hours later. So she decided to purchase her ticket and go to the lounge.
As she sat their lost in her own world, she was thinking of all the things that had happened. Arnav and his so called proposal, Abahy and Anjali Di.. Nothing that had happened in the last 2 days made any sense to her and she sat their dumb founded about how all the events had unfolded. To top it all of, she was feeling anxious to go back to Mumbai without Abhay by her side. She knew she could manage KK Group on her own, but she had never had to deal with the other shareholders excluding the directos. And that made her nervous..
After spending 2 hours praying that everything would work out, she finally heard the boarding call for her flight. She had booked a business class seat and was able to settle in immediately. She was feeling very tired, so she decided that she would take a quick nap while she had a chance too.
Once she landed in Mumbai, she felt rested and was ready to go to her condo. She was looking forward to some alone time and had already called her driver asking him to pick her up when she landed. Everything had been arranged and she was going to be home soon. Back to her life of solitude..
As she arrived at her building, she walked into let the conceiege know that her bags need to be sent upstairs.
"Ms Gupta! So nice to see you!! How was your trip?" The concierge asked her politely.
"It was interesting Rahul.. Thank you for asking!" she said smiling at the young man that was always very polite to her.
"Ms Gupta, I umm have something for you" Rahul said handing her an envelope.
"Oh? What is this Rahul?" she asked curiously looking at the envelope.
"I don't really know Ms. Gupta. I just started my shift an hour ago and I was told this to hand it to you by the other concierge" he said in a small voice.
"Thanks Rahul.. I'll take a look at it once I get in. Hey can you please have my bags sent up as well?" she said smiling at him as she walked towards the elevator.
"Of course Ms. Gupta" he said smiling back at her.
She got to the 7th floor and walked out excited about returning home. She didn't have a very big place. Just a simple 3 bedroom that was more than enough for her.. She had made it her own despite the fact that it was actually owned by KK Group and allocated for any long-term guests that visited the Mumbai office. She had converted one of the spare rooms into a prayer room and immediately changed all the decor to suite her tastes. Everything was bright and colourful with a few wind chimes hanging about. The view was pretty decent and the place had massive windows so it brought in lots of light. Although she had the financial capability of buying a mansion if she needed it, Kushi refused to do so. She was happy living in a small place vs. living in a massive house alone. Plus she just couldn't get used to all that room..
She walked to her door and tried to open it but the key kept getting stuck. It didn't work for some weird reason and she was wondering what was going on. In fact, it looked like the lock had been changed as well.. She went downstairs again and walked upto Rahul.
"Rahul, there is something wrong with the lock.. Or maybe it's my key.. But I can't get into my place" she said trying to sort this mess out.
"You can't get in because I changed the locks" she heard a booming voice behind her that she immediately recognized. Rahul also heard the voice and let out a little squeak in fear.
"YOU!! AGAIN!!! So now what? You are kicking me out of my place??" she immediately yelled upon seeing who it was.
He stood their very calmly and did not show any emotion on his face.
"Check the envelope your holding before you start yelling like a banshee Kushi. I didn't kick you out, merely upgraded your accommodations"
She looked at the envelop and opened it. She found a note that said - "Welcome home- Head to the Penthouse" with a key taped to it.
"What the hell is this??"
"A gift for you" he said smirking. He knew she would put up a fight at every single juncture but he had come prepared for battle himself.
"Wait how did you know...?" She trailed off wondering what how he figured out where she was and how he got to Mumbai so fast.
"I called Payal. And I own a helicopter." he said reading her mind.
"Did you really think that I was so stupid? I knew the moment I realized that you were gone that you would be heading here. So I called Payal. I then proceeded on to make sure you got on the second flight out so that I can get here before you. I made a few calls and got the locks change. I also told the building staff to move all your stuff to your new apartment."
She had a look of horror on her face. She didn't know what to say or do. She just stood there staring at him.
"Rahul, can you give us a few minutes?" he asked.
Rahul sprinted out from behind his desk and stepped outside the building. It was Sunday and the place was deserted.
"Don't worry, I made sure all your.. how do you say it.. "Delicates" were not see by anyone else and packed them up myself" he said in a whisper as he walked up to her.
She was turning a million different shades of red right in front of him and he saw it.
"Listen to me you arrogant barbarian!! You can't just do as you please"
"Now now, is that how you talk to your future husband Kushi?" he asked smirking
"I have no words for you Arnav Singe Raizada!!" she yelled back.
"Wow! The great Kushi Kumari Gupta is speechless!!" he said pressing her buttons again.
"You.." she started before he cut her off
"Kushi, stop making a scene and come take a look at the place first before you bite off my head" he said finally trying to get her out of the building lobby.
She begrudgingly agreed making a note to herself to give him hell once they were behind closed doors.

Kushi stood quietly as the elevator took them upto the 38th floor. She walked out and was staring at large double doors. Arnav opened one of the door for her as she walked in.
The place was huge. And it was beautiful. Floor to ceiling windows that had a view of surrounding areas of the city. She noticed that there was no real deco in the place. Just the essential pieces of furniture along with some of her stuff scattered around.
"5000 sq feet. 5 bedrooms, 6 baths, a study, dining room, 2 living areas and prayer room for you of course" he said happily looking at the place. He had immediately purchased this right after she had moved into the building and had hoped that one day they would live in it together. He was happy that she was finally here.
"It's so big!" she said lost in her surroundings.. "How am I supposed to live here one my own?" she asked him
"Well your not" he said knowing the next part is going to be the hardest.
"Huh?" she asked still taking in her surroundings.
"I'm going to live with you" he said
"NOOO!!!" she screamed.
"We are not living together Arnav Singhe Raizada! I know in your world, live in relationships are very casual.. But not in mine!"
"I'm not asking you to share a bed with me" he said losing his temper.
"I don't care!! I am not living under the same room as you"
"Ok then. I didn't want to have to do that. But you are clearly not going to listen to me" he said walking over to grab the file that laid on the coffee table. He then handed it over to her.
"What's this?" she aksed
"KK Group Shareholder agreements"
"But they are all signed by you.." she said looking at the documentation in her hand.
"Yes they are. And as it stands, you own 35% of the shares, your board members and directors hold 29% of the shares and the rest belongs to RM Group. Can you do the Math and tell me where that puts me Kushi?" he asked.
The blood drained from her face as she realized that he has majority control over KK Group. She looked at him with hatred.
"What do you want?" she asked.
"3 months." he said
"3 months of what?" she asked
"3 months of you and I living in the same house. But only the same house. You have your own room and your freedom to come and go as you please. You will not have to answer to me about anything you do while your in this house. At the end of the month, if you still refuse to accept my proposal, then I will hand over all the KK Group shares to you and walk away from you."
"And if I refuse?" she asked him defiently
"Well then, I guess your going to have to find out. But you know how I run things with business, just remember that I won't show KK Group any mercy despite what you mean to me" he said sounding as arrogant as he could. He didn't mean it, but she didn't know that. And that's where he had the upper hand.
"Fine. I accept. But I want it in writing" she said as she looked up to him. 3 months of hell was worth going through for KK Group she told herself. Besides, she was doing this for a good cause, so she knew that Devi Maiyya would forgive her. At least she hoped so..
"Ok. Deal" he said turning away from her. He did not want her to see him smile.
"So which one is my room?" she asked.
"I'll show you" he said walking her to a beautiful white room. It had a lovely view as well and looked immaculate. But it lacked something. She knew she could do something to personalize her. She was stuck in this hell hole anyways, so might as well make the best of what she has. There was a beautiful 4 poster bed and the en-suit bathroom had the most amazing soak in tub. He showed her the closet and she noticed that everything had been arranged neatly. She looked at the drawers uncomfortably wondering where he had put all her "Intimates" as he had called them.
He continued showing her the rest of the place as she took in everything. The kitchen was beautiful with a marble finish and the hardwood floors were simple yet exquisite. The place itself had an aura about it which stated that it belonged to the man that owned it. Simple, classy, rich and straight to the point.
He took her to the prayer room and looked around. He had set everything up for her and made sure it was exactly as it was at her old place. She was thankful for that much.
She had already seen where his bedroom was. It was adjoining hers and she wondered if she would even see him if she timed it right and avoided him..
Finally he walked her back to the kitchen and took a seat at the counter.
"So that's it! Do you like it?" he asked her
"Well don't you think it's a little too much for just 2 people??"
"Hmmm.. Yeah but then I figured you would want your own space, so thought this would work" he said grinning at her
"I just want you to know that I'm doing the for KK Group. You have once again used your money and power to take advantage of the situation and I hate you for that. Only god know why you would think I would feel even a shred of emotion for you, you barbaric man! I have nothing by hate for you!!!!!" she suddenly yelled out and stormed off to her room slamming the door behind her.
Arnav sat their smirking knowing that the was bound to happen. But at least, she cared enough to hate him. That was a start he thought as he walked over to the living room and sat down on the comfy sofa.
Now that all of this has happened, I am going to start the next section with brand new chapters in this story. I think it can progress on and become something beautiful, so await my next update!!
