Chapter 3
While everyone else was getting ready for the evening, Payal, Akash, Anjali, La, Viraj and Viren had congregated in La's room for a "meeting". That's what she had told the rest. She knew that those two crazy people were too busy avoiding each other to notice anything else.
Her plan was simple.. Get them to realize their feelings and make sure they get married. If she had it her way, hers and Viraj's wedding wouldn't be the only one happening in a few months she thought to herself with a big grin.
"Lavanya Ji, why are we all here? and why isn't Kushi? I thought you guys are friends and do everything together?" asked Akash.
"Akash, give me 2 minutes and I will tell you exactly why we're all here and why Kushi isn't ok?"
"Silence please. Now first of all I want to let you all know that Viraj and I are getting married in Delhi in 3 months!!"
"Lavanya Ji!! That's great news" Anjali said as she and Payal were about to leap at her with a big hug.
"Wait, wait, wait I'm not done yet. No hugs until I have told you everything"
The other 2 women looked at each other in awe and sat back again. La looked at Viraj who winked at her
"Anjali Di, Payal Ji - Is my wedding the only one that you would like to see? Or maybe mine won't be the only one you will see. Here's the thing, we all know what happend at the last Raizad wedding betweein your hot headed brother (she was looking at Anjali) and your stubborn sister (she looked at Payal). And I don't know if any of you have noticed, but those 2 are perfect for each other. What's keeping them apart are these little misunderstandings that they keep running into. Kushi and ASR are my closest friends and I want to see them happy. I want to see them together. I spoke to Viraj about it and we have both agreed that we will do everything we can to make sure this happens. They care about each other deeply and it's time they admitted it."
The room was completely silent. No one spoke. Everyone knew that there was something going on between Arnav and Kushi, but no one wanted to speak up about it because they knew that it was one topic that was off limits with both of them.
Suddenly Anjali started smiling and so did Payal.
"My Chote with Kushi!! That's perfect Lavanya Ji!! Finally someone besides Payal and myself that thought they belonged together!! After their confrontation last year, my suspicions were confirmed, but after everything that Chote had said to Kushi, I thought we had lost all hope. I thought she would never forgive him. Payal and I have been talking about this for the last year trying to figure out how to make this work"
"Wait, you two were talking about this behind my back?" Asked Akash sounding annoyed
Payal smiled at him playfully and told him that this was just girl talk and they saw no reason to involve him in this.
"Ok Di, if you and Payal Ji are on board, then we are good to go. So here's what's going to happen..." La turned to everyone to explain what each person had to do..

Kushi looked at the time and realized that dinner would be ready soon. She had to get ready and was about to run a bath when she realized that there was no water in her bathroom. She tried meddling with the tap only to realize that nothing she did was going to help. So she ran out of her room to look for OP and see if he could do something to fix the problem.
As she was leaving her room, she saw Anjali ji walking towards her with a big smile.
"What's wrong Kushi" Anjali asked knowing exactly what she was about to hear from Kushi.
"My water doesn't seem to be working Anjali Di"
"Oh that's weird. Ok I will get OP to check it out. Meanwhile you can go into my room and use the shower there ok?"
"Ok Anjali Di. Thank you"
Anjali knew that she had done her part as she read Akash's text message on her phone and walked towards the kitchen while Kushi walked to her room.

In Anjali's room..
"DI DI !! Where are you?? Akash told me that you were looking for me" Arnav said looking around his sister's empty room.
Suddenly he felt his heart beat faster and he slowly turned toward the door and saw the most stunning woman walk in a beautiful red shalwar and he froze. It was like time had stopped and all he could focus on was the smile on her face and that beautiful hair that cascaded around her hips.
She saw him as he entered the room and her smile froze. He looked the same way he did a year ago. Only more rugged and handsome. He hadn't shaved in a day or 2 and the stubble on his face made him look dangerous and provocative. She stared at him for a few seconds only to notice something in his eyes that looked like longing. Something that she had thought she had seen before.
They stared at each other. Locked in an eye lock that said everything and yet they didn't say anything at all.
There was fury, rage, passion and love. All twisted together in their eyes and after not seeing each other for so long, there was nothing they could do to look away from each other.
Suddenly they heard Mami Ji's voice down the hall and snapped back into reality.
"What you doing here?" he barked at her secretly cursing at himself for getting lost in the moment.
"Came to use the shower" She said trying to sounding casual
"Why what happened to the one in your room?"
"It's not working so Anjali Di told me I could use hers.. Wait a minute, why am I explaining all this to you.. Why does it matter?"
"It matters because this is my house and when something or someone is out of place in my house, I make sure to fix it on my own"
"Oh yess.. Your house that we have all been blessed to be in.. Your house, your rules right?" She said with sarcasm dripping from every word and ending the sentence with a smirk.
"Listen..."
"No you listen. I don't want to be around you as much as you want to be around me. I'm not some innocent girl that needs to be fixed by the great Arnav Singh Raizad. I can take care of myself and I am only here because of my pregnant sister and your sister. Nothing else. So stop acting like your God's gift to man and leave me alone. I don't care about you or you rants. We're past that Mr. Raizad"
He was so angry he was shaking. In fact he wanted to shake her!
"Just stay away from me while your here Ms. Gupta. I don't want to see your face or hear you voice unless I have too. So please do me a favor and stay as far away as you can from me and I will offer you the same courtesy"
There were both hurt by the words exchanged and they weren't about to let is show. He walked briskly past her fuming while she stormed off into the shower.
Good Riddance they both thought and they both instantly knew that they were lying to each other.
