i think 3 to 4 times...it all depends...it is a bit more for ladies who had a MC tho

is it new study that these rays are harmful? cuz about 11 years ago, my mom had my younger brother and she had god knows how many sonography's done.. many more tests too and my brother turned out just fine! (reason's a bit complicated but still..)

I asked my mom, bhabhi, aunties every one in my family who has delivered child except my nani.

From them I got to know that minimum 3 sonography has to be done and maximum depends upon pregnant ladies condition and situation. What I mean is 3 is perfectly fine for normal pregnancy with no previous pregnancy complication and no health problems.

Over here Akshi has suffered mc and she is also anemic so may be doctor has advised more sonography test

Sonography do not use any rays.

It sends sound waves through the body and based on the echo received it forms the image of internal organ or foetus.

The frequencies used in diagnostic ultrasound are typically between 2 and 18 MHz thts above the human hearing range.

Ultrasound do not harm the baby as they are not rays like X-rays just sound waves.However It might seem like noise to the baby.So its not harmful for the baby at all but its not yet confirmed wether babies can actually hear those sound waves.

Usually 3-4 ultrasounds are done for normal pregnancy in India but I have heard tht nowdays some docs have started to do it every month.

Yes, High-risk pregnancy... and I have aksed doctors and my husband himself is doctor and If It was really that harmful.. I am sure he wouldn't have allowed them to do Ultrasounds on me :-d
