I think that is a common occurence since in those days, the men were also unsure of how to come out with their sexuality. So they often did what was expected of them and got married and had children and then later realise that actually how they felt is also important and was willing to sacrifice their family, their reputation to be truthful to themselves.

I have several gay friends and they are like any other couple and I think the most important thing is not about changing them but just accepting them for who they are; likewise I'm sure we would like that to be for us as well.

Why not..!! According to famous pschoanalyst Sigmund Freud, sexuality is just like a fluid whose consistency keeps on changing as time passes on...!!Sometimes these changes are negligible and sometime drastic.
Moreover, we all are aware of the term 'bisexual'... According to British Medical association, bisexuals are those people who suppress their homosexual feelings and behave exclusively as straight..!!
Exclusive straights comprise a small proportion of the population... Bisexuals comprise a big part of the population... But people don't accept it...
Sexuality is a choice...!!
If Gaurav wants he can lead a happy life with Vidya...!!:-)

Well I'm not sure sigmund freud would be your best bet in trying to determine whether people could change their sexuality. He was always obsessed with sex in some form or the other.
I dont know if one;s sexuality can change. As a teenager, one might experiment. You either like males or females or both. I think sometimes to conform to society's wishes, we might pretend to have a particular sexuality when in truth, we feel completely different. Just because we conform does not mean we can change our sexuality that easily.

According to British Medical association, bisexuals are those people who suppress their homosexual feelings and behave exclusively as straight..!!....really?! where did they publish this?

Actually my definition was incomplete...
In the wide medical guide and dictionary published by british medical association, a detailed description of homosexuality, bisexuality, fetishms etc has been given... Its effect, its relevance, occurence etc has been given...
In the coloumn of Bisexuality, it ws written:
Bisexuals are those who are attracted towards members of both sexes... It may or may not involve sexual activity...
Sexuality is determined by a person's sexual desires as well as his or her actual sexual behaviour. Thus, the term bisexual 'also' includes those who suppress homosexual desires and behave exclusively as heterosexuals. Some or most people suppress their sexuality, for the sake of society or family, out of shame etc..
This broad survey ws done by Alfred kinsey... According to him, in the US, at some stage in their adult life, half the population engaged in both hetero and homo activities or reacted sexually to persons of both sexes...
I m nt saying this a very broad and expert panel of medicos r saying this... U all can check this out...!

this is my observation they can show that gaurav is confused about his sexuality & that karan kind of pushed him in to believing that he was gay. im only saying this considering the circumstances guru faced as a child, the trauma his mum went through, due to his brutal, cheating, manipulative & cunning father, who treated his mum like a weakling doormat & never gave her any love or respect & neither did this heartless man showered any love or care on his kids either & to certain extent his fathers behaviour towards him was cold & distant, this purely due to him being close to his mum. so all his life he never had any love, care or respect fro his father

then one fine day wooosh a man comes along who showers up on him bundle of love, joy, tender & care , which guru laps it up with both hands, because so far all he saw in a man was what his father was an heartless thug but now he got to see a diffrent side of a man, which he found endearing & he got carried away with his thirst for love which he so wanted to feel from his father, but now some one else filled that void of male love in different form.

but now that hes married & there is this woman who will not even blink before taking a shot aimed at him. as she cant bare to loose him or see him in pain & then ending up on death bed stirs some emotions in him & after nearly loosing her he starts to feel something for her & gradually relizes that he never loved karan, it was just the need of the moment & the circumstances made him believe that he was in love. because after years of yearning for love he found some one who offered him that opportunity to be l;oved & pampered

sorry for long post but i thought il share my views thanks

Hey omiraja, hats off to ur observation and deep insight...!!
Homosexuality indeed develops sometimes like in case of gaurav...!! Circumstances or childhood experiences do play an important role in determing a person's sexuality...!
Homosexuality is mostly pschological in orgin.

I am reading some posts and it surprises me about people's ignorance. Being gay is who you are not u choose. I am gay man and know that very well. If someone was gay and turned straight (apparently) thats because they were either lying to themselves the entire time that they were gay or they are probably bi and were in denial. I know this very well as I know gay bi and straight men living in a strong gay community of Toronto.
From what I've seen so far, Gaurav is gay and will never love Vidya as a husband. He will always love Karan. Realistically Gaurav can live a lie whole life and remain married to Vidya or actually comes to terms with himself and faces the truth. If he chooses to live the lie, he will make 3 lives miserable - his own, Karan and Vidya's. Since this is a show it depends on writers what they would like to see. I hope they remain real and Gaurav and Karan end up together. I prefer them to die together on the show than live a lie separately but thats my opinion.
Even though he is taking care of Vidya, Gaurav is still thinking of Karan and crying. For eg, in todays episode where there is background song, they show that he is thinking of Karan and then he has tears in his eyes. I strongly feel that the characters of Gaurav and Karan truly love each other! I will personally stop watching the show if they turn Gaurav or Karan straight because that will be a slap in the face to the gay community!
People can disagree with me but this is my opinion.
