Katy! I am also equally horrified whenever I read posts like that. It clearly shows that though we got freedom from British rule and monarchy long back, many still haven't come out of it. We have seen and heard many instances, such people from humble background come up in life like , a farmer's son from a village became India's most respected President , a person from a very humble background becomes the chief justice.
Just because one likes the actor who plays the part, doesn't mean one has to support his/her role whether it is the heroine's role or vamp's role. We should always watch these serials with a pinch of salt and should not get emotionally involved with it. We see these serials only for time pass , not for fighting and bashing the characters.
When I read some posts , I am really horrfied to see the mindset of today's generation. How they ridicule a character without minding the words they use, whether it is iccha or tapasya. Why don't they use the forum for healthy debates, healthy analysis of characters without using cheap words.
We have all grown up reading fairy tales, where a poor cindrella gets to marry the prince charming, and epics where a fisherwoman satyavati becomes the queen of Hastinapur.
