Geet (pretending to think): umm…..dekhna padega. Ab breakfast karein??? Waise bhi bahut bhook lagi hai!
Both had a very smiley breakfast that day. Geet was at first surprised to see aloo ka parantha…that too by Maan…but its delicacy really made her day!
They whole day they spend shopping and relaxing….roaming around in shimla! Geet skied and ice-skated while Maan took her pictures! Both were very tired…..tons of shopping and fun really wore them out.
As Maan lay on his back, geet rested her head on his chest. His hands caressed his bare back and the spread covered there naked bodies perfectly.
Geet (with her eyes closed): Maan…..can I join the office again????
Maan (a bit sleepy): why sure honey….that is your office anyway!
Geet: I need to ask dadi about it before doing so.
Maan (twitching his brows…his eyes still closed): dadi?? Why so? Its your office and you can join anytime you want sweetie!
Geet (caressing his cheeks): no Maan, I'm not geet Handa anymore! I'm Geet Maan Singh Khurana and Khurana parivaar ki badi bahu! Dadi se ijazat lekar hi mein office join karoongi.
Maan (lovingly): theek hai geet. Jaisa tummhe achcha lage. I won't force you. Par koi bhi kadam uthane se pehle mujhse aur dadi se baat zaroor kar lena.
Geet (cutely): as you say my lord!
Both giggled and laughed for a while and eventually drifted off to sleep. They returned home after enjoying their trip for 3 days. Well with Maan's hectic schedule, going for a holiday even for 1 day was enough..and 3 days….it was more than enough!
Dadi was very happy to receive them. That night they had a long talk. Geet got the permission to join office from the next week.
Maan left early for the office that day. It was the day when geet was to join him as the chief of the architecture department! Maan had an urgent meeting with Adi and dev.
Maan: dev, did you find anything about then yet?
Dev (thinking): not yet bro…but I do have some questions in my mind!
Maan (curious): yes speak.
Dev: bro, don't you think all this is so very strange? I mean, jabse humne business sambhalna shuru kiya hai, tab se we kne the Singhanias as our arch rivals in the market….
Maa (thinking deeply): hmm.yes go on!
Dev: we were always told and taught how to tackle and manage with the market…
Maan: yeah I know.
Dev: but don't you find it strange that we actually don't know as to why the two companies are so very against each other??
Adi: yes sir, even I don't know the cause of such rivalry since the day I've joined the office. I've always been told about our rivalry with them.
A sudden silence gripped the atmosphere. Maan kept silent. He thought hard. Even he didn't know the real reason! It was all too weird. Then finally he broke the silence.
Maan: I think there is something related to the earlier owners of Khurana Group of Industries.
Dev (shocked): what.....you mean mom & dad??? Mujhe kuch bhi samajh nhai aa raha hai bro!!!
Maan (reassuring): dev. Tummhe pareshaan hone ki koi zaroorat nahi hai. Tum jao aur apne kaam me dhyan do. I need to research something before coming to any conclusions. Kuch pata chalet hi I'll let you know, aur isi beech tum aur Adi bhi alert rehna aur kuch bhi pata chalet hi mujhe inform kardena!!!
Dev: ji bro….sure. but ek baat hai..
Maan: haan dev bolo…kya baat hai?
Dev: bro…mujhe Canada waapas jaana hai. Wahan ke branch ko mere lautne ka intezaar hai!
Maan: oh yeah…..you can leave….waise mein bhi yahi soch raha tha! I was checking the shares there….you are doing pretty good!
Dev (happily): thanks bro.
Adi had already left them alone. It was 9:00 am when geet entered the office. Everyone gave her a warm welcome. She wore a blue saari with silver border and tied her hair loosely near her lower neck. She entered Maan's cabin and saw dev and Maan speaking.
Geet: good morn…arrey dev…aap yahan itni jaldi???
She was very happy and smiley all over. Dev noticed it. Maan too looked at her…..she looked as pretty as a fresh rose bud.
Maan: ohh geet…welcome back! Tum jakar apne cabin mein baitho…I'll be there soon!
Geet smiled: ji theek hai! And she left!
Maan looked at dev…he had a very naughty look in his eyes. Maan got irritated.
Dev (teasing): whoa bro…..she is looking very happy! What did you do to her in your trip???
And he winked at Maan. Maan remembered what they did in their trip. He flushed!
Maan (irritated face): nothing. You can leave now…and yes, be careful.
Maan tried to be professional. Dev smiled and left!
Geet sat in her old cabin, thinking about their maaneet moments before and after marriage. Maan, Adi and Sasha entered her cabin.
Sasha: go…go…good morning ma'am.
She said it making a long face. Why of course, she hated addressing geet as ma'am. But poor soul….she had to!!! Even geet was surprised to hear such polite words from Sasha. Even Adi greeted her as ma'am! She was confused and surprised and looked at Maan.
Maan(smiling): uhh..geet……in papers par sign kar do!
Adi handed her a file.
Geet (confused): ji yeh kya hai???
Maan: yeh iss company ke shares ke paper hain.
Geet (more confused): shares ke papers???
Adi: yes ma'am. Aaj se aap iss company ke 51% shares ki owner hongi!
Geet stood dumbstruck! She definitely didn't expect this! She never wanted this in the first place! She gave a confused & angry look to Maan. Adi and Sasha left the cabin.
Maan (working in his blackberry): honey please, in papers par sign kardo.
It seemed that he was in a hurry.
Geet: aap yeh sab kar kya rahe hain???
Maan (twitching his brows): kya matlab??? Definitely yeh shares tumhare naam kar raha hoon.
Geet (frustrated): mein in papers par sign nahi karoongi!
Maan (shocked): nahi karogi??? Yeh kya mazak hai geet?
Geet (angry): Maan…you heard it right. I won't sign these papers.
Maan: but why geet??? Aisi kya baat hai jiski wajah se tum sign nahi karogi???
Geet (nearly pleading): Maan…why don't you understand?? I don't ….mein sign nahi karna chahti!!!
Maan (angry): nahi karogi??? What the….why are you not telling me everything clearly??? Tummhe ho kya gaya hai??? Kyun nahi karna chahti ho sign?? (he looks at his watch): leave it….am getting late for the meeting. When I come back I want to see you signature on those papers.samjhi tum!
And he left her cabin, talking in the phone, with a door shutting with a bang behind!!!
