the rest of the night was quite...shilpa kept stealing glances at a very solemn armaan concentrating on his work...
every time shilpa winced in pain.. he kept his palm on the wound trying to ease out the pain.. sometimes he blew air while applying the ointment which made shilpa shiver and she felt goosebumps all over....
armaan: il have to stitch the cut on your leg..
shilpa : i think tats enough for now...
armaan looks at her with an air of disagreement..
armaan: shilpa..it really needs to be stitched.. or else it will bleed through out the night.. the cut is quite deep...
shilpa looks around and finds a tissue paper box on the tables... she quickly pulls a tissue and dabs it on her cut.. then she takes another one and cover it..
shilpa tries to grin... in pain
shilpa: see..all done???
armaan gets annoyed...he pulls her and makes her sit back on the chair...
shilpa: listen arma--
but armaan cuts her in...he places his finger on her lips...
armaan: shush.. not a word.. just sit here... he says sternly..
shilpa nods..
armaan takes out the anesthetic and injects her.. shilpa shuts her eyes in pain.. armaan then does the stitching while shilpa's eyes are still shut...once he was done.. he looks up...
he is mesmerized.. he keeps looking at her..her eyes were shut in fear.. he could clearly count all the five fine lines formed on her forehead.. his gaze dropped down on her lips.. which were trembling.. actually he realized they were murmuring something.. he couldn't quite make out...but he dint care..whatever it was..she looked dam cute he thought..armaan smiles..
he saw her open one eye in wonder.. he realized what he was doing and turned away...
armaan: ya shilpa, im done...
shilpa sighs in relief...thank god.. it dint hurt actually.. only when u injected me..
armaan: umm..tats because i injected you with anesthetic????
shilpa: oh shit..(hitting her hand on her forehead).. sorry actually just that a lot happened within a few hours.. im quite not myself..
armaan nods in agreement: of course ur not urself..i realized it right when i found you in my yard...
shilpa: well..in my defense i was there for a reason...
armaan: and out of my right.. what would that reason be?
shilpa: its only your right if you own me..n u dont..
armaan: as far as i can recall.. you were in my yard..without my permission...!!
shilpa: hmmm (noddin).. but it still doest give you any right to know about my whereabouts.. i can be wherever i want... whenever i want..
she said with her chin raised up..with full confidence..
armaan let out a laugh looking at her...
armaan: are you kidding me??? you still think its not my right to ask you???
shilpa opens her mouth wide in disbelief: wait a minute.. did u just laugh at me????
armaan a bit shocked at her question but tried explaining himself: ya.. i mean.. no..i mean yes.. but.. it wasnt the way...
shilpa turned around in her seat and crossed her hands: then explain it mister...
armaan tryin his best to explain..he knew he was right about asking her wat she was doing there.. but couldnt stand it when she was angry with him..in the same kneeling position he crouched towards her side...
armaan: shilpa.. shilpa listen..
shilpa nods: hmmmm
armaan : i m sorry.. i dint mean to.. well.. i found it (shruggin his shoulders and trying his best to say what he was about to say so nonchalantly he says) ..umm well...cute..
shilpa couldn't believe what he just said...
shilpa looked at him surprised : come again...
armaan looking down: cute...
shilpa smiled.. her smiled reached up to her eyes..
shilpa: you really aren't that bad doc...
armaan smiled: ok ok.. now.. i think its time for you to go..
shilpa kept grinning...: but i wanna hear more....
armaan trying his best to keep a straight face : shilpa.. u have to go home now...
shilpa pouted: well..ok...
armaan: il walk you to your car.. do you need a drive home
shilpa smiling and without realizing and looking at armaan controlling his flush answered: naah..not to worry yuvi and naina are in the car...
shit.. shilpa realises what she just said..n covers her mouth...
armaan shocked: WHAT?
shilpa: i mean..
armaan: what were youl planning on killing me or sumthing???
shilpa laughs at his assumption
shilpa: hahahaha..i wish...
armaan: what ? what ? did you just said??
shilpa: nothin.. dont you think its time for me to go home??? she said trying to change the topic...
armaan: hmmmm.. come il walk you..(still looking a little pissed)
shilpa lets armaan put his arm around her waist to maintain her balnce.. she chose to shut her BIG mouth up..she knew she would definitely blabber some nonsense while armaans closeness was badly affecting her...
she thanked armaan and went up to the car and knocked...
yuvi and naina were fast asleep...
shilpa knocked again fuming in anger....
naina woke up...: shit...
she pushed yuvi: wake up..
yuvi iritated: kya hai? opened his eyes to realise where there were.. he lookd at shilpa all wounded...
yuvi: oh dam... and got out of the car to help her get in...
the next day...
naina: shit yuvi.. m really feeling bad ...
yuvi: thats ok naina..
naina: hell no its not.. did u look at her state..dam..it was all because of me.. she said sitting on the bench in the locker room...
yuvi: ya but u apologized...
naina: ya.. and she gave me that stare...she dint evn say a word
naina said feeling really bad... yuvi went to her and hesitated but then put his hand around her shoulders..
yuvi: cmon naina.. its shilpa... shel be fine..
naina looks up to him and smiles.. just then...
intercom: all the interns report to the nurse station...
armaan was reading a file.. when dr. shubankar walks up to him...
dr.shub: gud morning armaan...
armaan smiles: morning dr.shubankar...
dr.shub: where are these people? always late...
just then yuvi and naina come running.. and halts ...
armaan strenly: havent youl got a watch?
yuvi: sorry dr.armaan..
armaan: sorry doesnt make a dead man alive dr.yuvi...
yuvi looks down..naina goes closer to him...
naina: heaven knows how he must have yelled at shilpa last night.. no wonder she is still angry on me...
armaan: can i have you attention pls?????
they both nod....armaan assigns them their duties...after which...
dr.shub: wherez dr.shilpa?
the nurse at the reception speaks....
nurse: sorry dr.shubankar i forgot to inform you.. shilpa said she wont be coming today...
dr.shub: y?
nurse: she said she had some accident last night..
dr.shub: ohh.kkk...
armaan feels a bit down and thinks ..she wont be coming to today..:(:(
they all go to do their respective duties...
armaan felt something was missing.. it was always there.. but somehow today he felt different.. he felt as if a part of him was not here with him.. he shut his eyes and tried to shake things out of his mind.. but it dint help.. in fact it made things worse.. he could see shilpa with shut eyes..
armaan: what on earth?
patient: what happned doctor... are my results negative?
armaan: no..im sorry here are your reports.. your absolutely fine.. however im prescribing you with some medicines.. plese take them to ease of the pain..
paitent sighing with relief: yes doctor..
in the night...
armaan thinks to himself: armaan..you have to control yourself.. you just cant let go.. this is not for you.. you are not allowed to feel this way armaan... the accident changed everything.. i lost the woman i love the most.. after soo many years when i finally had her with me.. i just let her go.. just like that.. i hate myself.. i m not allowed to love.i m not allowed to be loved...i cant.. il just have to make my self stronger now.. stronger than before.. shilpa is affecting me. and i know that.. i cant let her... i jus cant...
