Meera and Nt were laughing holding their tummies down. Geet shot an agry glare and both disappeared immediately!!!
Breakfast table saw an unusual morning that day! THE Maan Singh Khurana was sitting by the table!!!! He never had his breakfast …no matter how many times daadi, dev, Meera, Nt etc requested! But today?????
Daadi, Meera , NT and Dev altogether let out a long sigh…"hhuuuhhh…..sab geet ka asar hai!!!" . geet was unaware of his breakfast schedule. She came in holding a bowl full of the dish and served everyone except Maan. Meera and Nt had updated daadi and dev about the kitchen war…so everyone kept quiet. NO INTERFERING BETWEEN HUBBY-WIFEY FIGHT!
Geet thought he might ask for a serving but much to her surprise….he was not interested. He kept himself busy in his laptop and cell phone.
Suddenly a call distracted him . it was Adi from office. He was needed there urgently. He got up and took daadi's leave!!
Maan: daadi I have to leave…urgent meeting!
Daadi: par beta breakfast??? You sat with all of us after so long……
Maan(interrupting): but daadi you know my breakfast habits………sorry!
Dadi: par beta geet???
Maan: I'm sure she'll understand!
Geet stood there without understanding anything. Maan had already left.
Geet: what happened daadi??
Dadi(with a sad tone): geet……you should have srved him first!
Geet: why Dadima…..what happened?? I was planning to serve him in the end!
Dadi: actually Maan kabhi bhi breakfast nahi karte hain. Humne laakh samjhaya, bahut kaha par kabhi bhi unhone humari breakfast waali baat nahi maani!! He knows breakfast is very imp in ones healthy life….but Maan!!! Uff!!! Kabhi office ka kaam to kabhi kuch aur! Aaj pehlli baar tha geet jab woh itne dino baad hum sabke saath khane baithe the!!!!
Poor poor geet…….she never knew and her anger had left her hubby go hungry! She felt bad…….really very bad!
If she had known about his breakfast schedule then she'd have awoken early and prepared his food and made him eat forcefully…if needed!
Dadi: beta why don't you have your food…and don't worry about Maan. He'll be fine!
Saying so daadi left the table. Soon the rest also left and went back to their respective works!!!! Geet sat on the table sad!!!
Geet (to herself): oye geet….yeh tune kya kar diya??? Maana ke unhone tujhe mazak mein do chaar baatein keh di…iska matlab yeh to nahi ke tu apni saari zimmedaariyan bhul jaye????
She decided….she'd go to his office and see to his diet! When she was his secretary…he never shared any kind of talks about his habits. But now she is Mrs Geet Maan Singh Khurana!!! She left the table without touching the food! She asked daadi's permission to leave for office.
Dadi: beta aap to nahi jaa sakti! Maan ka phone aaya tha abhi! Aaj woh office mein nahi hain! He had some business meeting today!! Aane mein deir lagegi.
Geet went back to her room and sat on the bed! What would Maan be doing now???? She recalled that morning kiss and their last night! Why wouldn't he touch her………was there something wrong??? Questions dribbled in her mind!!! May be tonight….yeah…may be tonight!!!!
She immediately called Adi!!!
Adi: hello…geet???
Geet: uhh morning Adi sir…..can you do me a favour???
Adi: ohh geet…favour …woh bhi shaadi ke dusri subah???
Geet: Adi sir…..its really importane you see…please!!!
Adi: ohk….anything for you…but is everything alright?
Geet: yeah…everything's fine! Now will you be with Maan the whole day???
Adi: yes of course…..we've some important meeting today and I'll be accompanying him everywhere today!
Geet: that's great! Then please please keep an eye on his diet and make sure he eats on time and yea….give me a full report after evry 1 hour if possible!!!
Adi: ooooohhhhh….so much for husband!!!! Anyways I'll do it!!!
Geet thanked him and sat in her room!!!
Adi did whatever get told him to do.

At the meeting:
Maan: is the project ready???
Mr Sharma: yes Mr. Khurana…its complete and heres the key! You can visit it today itself!
Maan: thanks a lot! You payment shall be transferred to your account today itself!!!
Mr Sharma: that's okay Mr. Khurana but why did you ask US for the project when your company is capable enough???
Maan: well that's a surprise! Okay I need to leave….see you later!!!
Maan had skipped lunch…simply because he never got any time for it. Meeting after meeting…presentation after presentation…clients after clients…uff!!!
Adi immediately reported the matter to geet! She got angry and called Maan at that instant. He was in a office and was browsing through some files! Maan receives the call…still looking at the files.
Maan: haan geet bolo!!!
Geet: did you have your lunch???
Maan wondered….what a random question!!!
Geet: you did not have your breakfast. You skip your meals…whats all these??? Do you ever care for yourself???
Maan(smiling): kyun…tum jo ho mera khyaal rakhne ke liye!!!
Geet (sternly): Maan mein mazak nahi kar rahi!!! Am serious!!!
Maan: haan baba…..i had my lunch okay!!! Now happy???? Ok geet……got to go…imp presentation! Bye honey…love ya!
He hung up before she could say anything else!
But geet knew he was lying!!! Maan lied because he did not want geet to get worried! Moreover had had tons of work to finish today….because…tonight….tonight was the night of surprises!!!! He did not want anything to interfere tonight…anything!
He finished all his works by 8:30 pm and headed home!!!
Servants had informed daadi about geet skipping breakfast and lunch as well! She was worried…did something happen between them…she wondered!
Maan reached home at 9:00 pm. As he entered he saw everyone sitting at dinner table. Geet and NT were serving!
Daadi: ahh Maan bte…aap aaj itni jaldi aa gaye!!! Hurry go and get freshen up and join us!!! Hurry up!
Maan looked at geet…she looked pale and distracted! He couldn't understand anything. The whole day he had kept himself busy so as not get distracted by her thoughts.
NT: veerji hurry up!!!
Maan went to his room and immediately got freshened up and in no time he joied the rest on the table!
Dadi(to geet who was filling Maan's plate): geet beta…I don't understand you at all!!!
Geet (surprised): ji Dadima???
Dadi: whats wrong with you beta??? You seemed so gloomy and irritated this morning. You skipped breakfast and lunch as well!!! What is it??? Is everything alright with you? Did Maan say something??
Maan was surprised to hear this…….HE WAS LYING AND GEET PUNISHED HERSELF!
He looked at her with questioning eyes. Geet looked at him. Her face looked even more pale!
Geet: ji Dadima…..aisi koi baat nahi hai. Maan ne mujhe kuch nahi kaha…..sab theek hai.aur woh…..mujhe bhook nahi thi so….
Before she could even complete, Maan got up from his chair and pulled her! She landed up in his place! And he placed himself beside her.
Maan: see….i told you geet…..ek baar mein apni nazar tum par se hata loon…and you end up in a crisis! Now stop staring at me and eat!
Nt served Maan and all ate. Geet ate quietly. Everybody enjoyed the dinner!!!
