"I lost all the debutante awards to Asin. I just hope Ranveer wins them." - Anushka Says
During the making of Band Baaja Baaraat, Ranveer Singh gave his co-star Anushka attitude. Tell her that Ranveer thinks she's a "complete package" and Anushka flares up. "What does he think I am? A mobile phone recharge coupon? Wait till I meet him."
Says Anushka, "He had this thing about being a trained actor while I had never attended any acting school. After we saw the complete film for the first time, Ranveer looked genuinely surprised, 'You are good!' I'm still to figure out why that surprised him."
One hopes the firebrand actress gets some serious awards nominations for her performance in Band Baaja Baaraat. "I lost all the debutante awards to Asin. I just hope Ranveer wins them."
Coming up next from Anushka is the role of a fast-talking Punjabi girl in Nikhil Advani's Patiala House.
"It isn't anywhere near as central as my part in Band Baaja. That kind of a female character comes once in a bluemoon.But I play a catalyst in the plot in Patiala House. I play a talkative empty-headed girl. One part of that was easy. The other was not."
