Speculation surrounding Krrish 4 has been growing for months, with reports suggesting that disagreements over the film's budget had created hurdles for the much awaited project. Recent claims alleged that Hrithik Roshan wanted a budget of Rs 500 crore, while Yash Raj Films preferred to keep the cost significantly lower.
However, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has now dismissed these reports and clarified that there is no truth to the claims.
Speaking to Mid-Day, the veteran filmmaker described the reports as "nonsense" and rejected suggestions that financial disagreements had delayed the development of the superhero film. He also denied rumours of any tension between Hrithik Roshan and producer Aditya Chopra.
"It's all nonsense that Hrithik has asked for a Rs 500 crore budget for top-tier VFX and world-class action for his directorial debut, while YRF wants to cap costs at Rs 350 crore. Making a good film catering to a wide audience takes time. Even I have taken time for each of my Krrish offerings," he told the publication.
Addressing reports of a fallout between Hrithik and Aditya Chopra, Rakesh Roshan said, "There are no issues," indicating that the project remains on track despite the ongoing speculation.

The franchise began with Koi... Mil Gaya in 2003 and later expanded into one of Hindi cinema's most recognised superhero series. With more than a decade having passed since the last instalment, fans have been eagerly awaiting updates on the next chapter.
The upcoming film is also expected to mark Hrithik Roshan's debut as a feature film director. Earlier entries in the franchise were directed by Rakesh Roshan, making the new project a significant step in the actor's career.
Industry discussions around the film have largely focused on its scale, visual effects and production requirements. Superhero films often demand extensive post production work and large action sequences, leading to frequent speculation about budgets and timelines.
For now, Rakesh Roshan's comments appear to have put rumours to rest, with the filmmaker maintaining that Krrish 4 is progressing and that ambitious projects naturally require time before reaching audiences.
