Update for Tuesday, Nov 30, 2010:
Selvam is explaining to a stricken Archana and Poonga and Priya how the politician handed him the documents to the house on ECR and asked him to sell it and keep the commission for himself. He tells the politician how he has already signed a contract to go to Yemen, and the politician scolds him for being a muttaaL (finally, someone used that word to describe Selvam and we have been using other words all these days, did the director hear our frustration at his character?). Anyway, he tells him not to abandon his wife and newborn baby at this time, and to get out of the contract by talking to some of his customers, and leaves.
Selvam sits under the bodhi tree and thinks, again! His phone rings, it is the person who offered to get him a loan to construct a shed and he wants Selvam to go to his house. Selvam goes there, they offer him cool drinks, MM as usual declines, but the friend is a smart guy, insists, so the wife gets the cool drink. Selvam puts down the document to pick up the drink. Friend asks about the document, Selvam explains, friend goes through the documents, probes some more about why and how Selvam came to possess that document, Selvam explains all about his DSDR brother Vasu needing a job, Selvam giving Rs. 2 lakhs to the politician, Vasu not taking up the job, Rani's marriage and Selvam trying to arrange for 50 pavun gold (irukka vasadiya veedu illai, thangaikku 50 pavun gold mattum ivar pOduvaaraam!), finally tells about the Yemen plan, and friend says there was no need, he could have easily loaned that money to Selvam (must be nice to have friends who will lend Rs. 10 lakhs like that!). Selvam says he did not want to borrow, anyway, friend says he and his wife are looking for a property on ECR and wants to buy this house, so Selvam's problems are solved.
Selvam explains all this to Poonga and Archu, and Poonga asks him why he didn't tell them this good news earlier and why did he look like a guilty guy when Archana asked him, and he says he felt guilty because he did it without consulting Archana or talking it over with her (yeah, right! nalla husband, just be glad you are not my husband, appuram un gathi adhogathi thaan!). Archana is in tears, says she will die if he goes anywhere without her, he tells her to wipe her tears, everyone is happy again. He leaves with Shiva, and takes Poonga with him, to drop him off on the way.
RS is waiting impatiently for Vasu and Reva. Reva comes down, he asks about Vasu, she says he is getting dressed, he goes up to investigate. He knocks on the door, Vasu says he is getting dressed, RS tells him to hurry up, and finally asks him to open the door. Vasu grabs the sheet, covers himself and opens the door, saying he is having kuLir fever, after he got dressed! Reva feels his body, says he is cool to the touch, he says this is some inner fever (asadu vazhinju oduthu!), she tells him that they can check his fever also at the hospital. He has no excuses left, comes down, asks Mangalam for water, she brings it, he spills it over himself, says he will wash his shirt, dry and iron it and then wear it. RS tells him he is acting like a little boy who doesn't want to go to school, and tells him to change into another shirt and go! He goes upstairs to change.
