I think that you've hit the nail on the head. We all know that actresses career length is small, maybe around 5-10 years-ish. Most of Kareena's contemporaries's (ie Rani, Preity) careers fizzled out by the time they were 30, even though things are changing. Kareena just hit 30. I think she IS anxious about the longetivity of her career. Kareena also realizes that in BW hits matter more than strong roles. Plus sadly for Kareena most of her movies with strong roles failed at the BO. So she's signing all these masala movies which will most likely be hits and will strengthen her positioon in BW.

I can see why bebo fans are upset but im not tht petrified. See, bebo took risks when she could afford to...in times wherein she had nothing to lose because she was getting one flop after another, she just gave everything a go...some worked, some didnt....but the point is..this was during the time when she was struggling to find her base and establish her roots within the industry...

Aye smarie pants you have a good point as well my friend.But it still frustrates us coz I for oen am yearning to see another chameli, JWM. The last good role had was in Kurbaan! And that movie too flopped.

^^ true...whenever she gets a good role, the muvie is not that good so it flops...and whenever her movie becums a superhit...her role is either stupid silly or just plain insignificant. sigh...its hard to strike that balance for a mainstream female actor...the last actor who achieved tht balance was rani i guess...but even she has gone poof now!! no one even cares....

Damn If she doesn't wanna do the movie, then her decision. I'm sure she has her reasons, why do we forget that we don't know EVERYTHING, there could be am million reasons as to why. I'm not defending her, but it's kinda annoying how people try to put forth their opinions as if there is nothing beyond it. Why do we need to dissect every little news related to her? Who are we to condemn her, if she doesn't want to be a part of some movie for whatever reasons, it's her career, I'm sure it matters more to her than any of us!!

How does being a part of Golmaal imply that she isn't serious about her career, or she's after publicity? :S I don't understand people's reasoning.

And what's the big fuss about Madhur anyway? Just another director who goes around making movies on the most played out stereotypes and wins a national award for it?
