AR Rahman and Aamir Khan rule Facebook

There's no stopping the two little big men of Bollywood! After winning over the audiences world over with their work, they are now ruling the world's No. 1 social networking site Facebook.



AR Rahman, Oscar winning musician of Slumdog Millionaire fame and one of the world's top selling recording artistes of all time added another feather to his already crowded cap by becoming the first Indian personality to get more than 1 million fans on Facebook. Currently, Rahman's official Facebook page has 1,545,643 fans. It is the largest page for any celebrity from India.



Closely following him, is his colleague and star and producer of Oscar-nominated film Lagaan (2002) and star of two of India's highest grossing films 3 Idiots and Ghajini, Aamir Khan. Aamir Khan has become the second Indian after AR Rahman and the first Indian film star to cross the 1 million fans milestone on Facebook. Aamir Khan's official Facebook page has 1,010,091 fans as of now.

His page is the second largest page for any celebrity from India, after AR Rahman.

Some other popular Indian personalities on Facebook include - Sachin Tendulkar (895,487 fans), Shahrukh Khan (780,812 fans), Salman Khan (707,705 fans), Priyanka Chopra (646,258 fans), Ranbir Kapoor (639,828 fans) and Akshay Kumar (594,261 fans).



Currently, AR Rahman and Aamir Khan are the only two Indians having more than one million fans on Facebook.

Ranbir is also there even tho he is a new comer but I guess I understand why .

The articles are bound to read the same when the same news is carried at different places! Don't articles on MSN India, TOI, Masala etc. sometimes sound the same albeit with different titles to make it seem that they were the first ones to report it!

Thatz because PC page is real. It's her official page. Kat and Kareena and Aish are not on facebook so she doesn't have any competition.

That's not PC's personal account. Her personal account only has her friends and family. That's a fan page, I assume. Much like other fan pages that every celeb or their PR have (like clubkareena or sth).

Yeah but that page of PC has her updates and it seems like she is updating it. It's in the first person point of view which only means PC is updating it. When I started following it, I thought it was her, I wouldn't have followed if it was a fan page. And plus since she is on twitter and all people would think that it's the real PC on facebook, will at least that was my thinking.

Okay I just asked my sister who is a fan of PC and she said it's run by her team, but also PC updates on it too. So that explains the huge number of followers compared to other big stars like kat and kareena who don't update anything on facebook. Because they are not even on there.
