It's so damn difficult: Rajeev Khandelwal
Mumbai: Rajeev Khandelwal always wanted to be a romantic hero. In fact, he has always been a sucker for romantic movies. But when he wanted to make his foray into movies, the first movie that came his way was a serious role and he never had anybody to romance. In fact, Rajeev had rued in his interviews that he had nobody to romance in his first movie.

Now, his wish will be fulfilled with Krishan Chowdhary's Main Joker where he is playing the lead role. Interestingly, when it came to giving those shots, the actor in Rajeev realised that it is actually very difficult to act in romantic scenes. He admits that romancing on-screen was hardly as breezy and easy at he had imagined.
"I have been dying to romance a woman, but suddenly I find it difficult," says Rajeev. The on-screen lover boy of TV suddenly found himself frozen in front of the camera. "I have always had this lover boy image, but I've to still get used to all the singing and dancing which is so integral to our films. Initially, I even found it a bit funny," he reveals.
What added to Rajeev's nervousness was the keen eye of veteran choreographer Saroj Khan, who at times, can be a hard taskmaster when it comes to film stars. "When working with veterans like Sarojji, actors become conscious about getting her appreciation. That adds to their nervousness," he says.
But the professional that he is, Rajeev is enjoying working with the dancing legend. "I'm really glad I'm working with her. She is not as scary as people make her out to be," he ends.
