According to you who is the BEST singer in MKMM??

The lack of knowledge to understand the technicalities of true sangeet, sur and tal could hinder some people to over come their bias against someone in particular. The comments made here only reflects nonsensical prejudice against this kid Anwesha. She at this young age not only impressed audiences, but got the endorsements of those who knows sangeet inside out. And that's what matters here.😊

Well said 👏

Way up in the Bollywood⭐️. She is a rising star and can rule the industry with the right kind of break. She just needs the right break. 😊

And of course, with a good music director who knows what Indian music really is.

Today's trend says that in many movies, music directors themselves become singers then how can new singers get breaks? It is also seen that many of the new singers from reality shows have got a minimum of just 1-2 songs and that too in comedy movies, which really prevents them from showcasuing their talent.

India really should wake up and start promoting non filmy music albums sung by these deserving singers.
But will it? Only time will.

Anwesha, all the best😊

If we see Anwesha's age and her knowledge and capability in music, it's needless to say she is a gifted talent .....
Not anyone can reach that level at this age only with Riyaz ..... telling that, the kind of classical capability she has now, it would be real fruitful for her if she continues shinning her classical skills (maybe with Pandit Ajay Chakraborty) for the next 2 years and by the time she is 18 .... yes she would be there to rule the music world ....
MD's can again return to the era of old MD's who used to compose classical songs sung by Lataji (Nainon Mein Badra Chaye .... Nadia Kinare .... Ai Ri Pawan ... Bole Re Papihara etc etc etc ...) .... Anwesha has the capability to not only become successfull in bollywood .. but to become a legend in comming years ...
Rest all depends on the chances she gets to prove herself in the playback world .... Wish her all the best

I think she excels in classical songs. If she keeps up with the required amount of riyaaz - she can do anything in the music industry.
If bollywood is her goal - she is surely ready for the semi-classical genre that bollywood sometimes offers. But she still needs a little more social maturity and self confidence to make it in bollywood. Bollywood is a tough industry with existing players generally resisting new entrants - and she does not seem like she could hold her own in this type of environment. With her voice being very similar to Shreya, she may not get much opportunity anyway.
I would rather see her release independent albums. Truthfully, I've seen some singers start off as very sound singers (esp in classical) and then they get into Bollywood, and their talent seems to get downgraded - perhaps their riyaaz is less once success is attained, or there is less motivation/drive once you are an established singer. I think one can always tell who is truly passionate about singing and who isn't - just by looking at the trend of the quality of their work.
I wish her well in whatever she chooses.

I agree. Anwesha is very innocent and simple. Frankly speaking, these are the qualities in her that have won many hearts. But definitely these qualities of hers may cause hinderance for success in bollywood.
I don't fully agree with her voice being similar to Shreya. With mere dholna she was stamped as being similar to Shreya. But I think she can mould herself into any kind of song. She did an amazing job with Kavithaji's Tumhari Adaon pe or Kahe ched mohe. In my opinion, Kavithaji is one of the gems of our music industry with a richness and power that is rare to see. It is extremely difficult to sing her songs. But Anu did complete justice to her songs. In fact these were the two songs by her along with Naam gum jaayega that brought out the power of Kavithaji and the melody of Lataji in MKMM.
If she does sing in Bollywood, she should choose her songs very carefully. Only then will her talent shine. She needs proper guidance in this industry which is not short of wolves. As you say, existing players resist new entrants. It has happened historically. Whatever she does, I pray that she continues to enthrall us with her singing.
