So many of us have grown up listening to Lataji's melodies. For many, this title is reserved for only and only Lataji and no-one else.

Of course, Shreya is impeccable. But I don't want to comment further on her versatility. Neither do I want to compare her with Anwesha. I love both of them immensely and saying anything further would only hurt both of them in different ways.

But, there is one thing I would like to add. I have supported many reality show singers before Anwesha and even after her. I have defended them passionately in my posts. But if I think of pitting any of them against Anwesha, they still seem pale to me.

Thanks bambooshoot, for understanding. The bolded words were an appreciation for shreyas singing. We all love lataji! Gud to hear your view!

I'm reviving this topic because some people just want to repeat the same things over and over again. We had already had a long discussion on the comparison between Anwesha, Shreya and Lataji here. So I don't see any reason to bring up this whole thing again.

Agree....too long discussion......For me, Anwesha is the most melodious and lovely singer I have ever heard⭐️ and whose rendition of any song makes the song spl for me . To top that,her modesty puts me to wonder everytime......I wish and pray she will achieve huge success in her life and entertain us with her lovely songs.😊😊

Hey Shreya cool, I agree with what you say and that Anwesha is nowhere near Shreya Ghosal, and so on.

But Shreya Ghosal is NOT the most versatile female singer in our country. And it's not even close. It's clearly Sunidhi Chauhan, the self-proclaimed most versatile singer. She is far more versatile than Shreya Ghosal and it's not even close. Furthermore, she is right there for "Best Female Playback Singer in India" along with Shreya Ghosal.



But I do agree Anwesha is nowhere near Shreya Ghosal right now. People can predict though, anything is possible. I personally think Shreya Ghosal will one day pass Lataji. Though of course she is nowhere close right now. Though, she definitly is on pace to surpass Lata.

Me too......love every song which she sings.....she just the sweetest singer for me today.....hope she gets to sing some gud songs in bollywood

Good post! Only one thing is that i too think Shreya is versatile, sunidhi too is, but mostly sunidhi comes up with item no.s or songs which require more of screaming. Shes awesome, I too had same views, earlier shreya used to mostly sing romantic & senti kind of songs but then when she came up with Yeh ishq, lattoo, aaj dil gustak hai, zoobie doobie etc, I think she has a quality to mold her voice for any kind of song, which is her speciality! Yes Shreya has gotten more versatile lately, but Sunidhi Chauhan is still more versatile overall. She once said "I am the most versatile female singer". Enough said. She is known for the dance and fast-paced songs, but she also has sung some slow songs very well.

Not comparing with anyone....but as alkaji said she will be one of the best songstress of the country......superb performanees 😊

I would second you on this.....not comparing her with any other singer......she will be one of the best singers of the country.....her todays performances were a treat to me 😊
