Back to the topic, Anwesha got talent required to become one of the best playback singer in Bollywood but due to similarity of voice texture with already sucessful Shreya Ghosal, I have doubt that she would ever reach the height she deserve. Also luck and PR plays the big role in shaping one's career in bollywood. At this time we could hope and pray for Anwesha for bright future.
I can't comment authoratatively on Anwesha's luck or PR skills.
Based on what I've seen, she has a massive fan following and a lot of support from the captains in MkMM, but can't say where it will take her.
And, yes, the similarity between Anwesha and Shreya's voices could prove to be a drawback for Anwesha.
Having said that, however, the kind of singing talent Anwesha has shown through the years is phenomenol and versatile. She has sung so many styles, and covered so many artistes, that nobody can brand her a 'Shreya clone' - Anwesha has her own distinct identity. OK, Shreya and Anwesha may have similar voices, but with more riyaaz and with age, even that similarity is not permanent, so again, Anwesha has everything to play for.
Contrast this with Rahul Vaidya, who can actually be called a Sonu Nigam clone - no offence, because it takes a great singer to properly mimic Sonu's style. But such a degree of resemblance in style and voice can't help in getting playback offers!
Here's hoping that Anwesha gets her own Devdas-style launch!
