Friends, people don't change overnight, but personally, I feel that concern and sympathy shown to your bitterest rival when they are down and out does change relationships, for the better. This I say from personal experience.
It will not be a straight and narrow path of dharma for Shefali, as one's past will always come back to haunt one. Consider this: She knows who is responsible for Satya's death and Mansen knows what she did to get Arjun back. So they will both blackmail each other or have a silent understanding about each other's weak points. However, the day the family finds about the truth, Shefali will once again find herself as the silent accomplice or partner in Mansen's crime. It would be interesting to watch how the family treats her then. Personally, I believe that people should be given an opportunity to change, though not overnight. I applaud Saarthi, they should not make Arjun-Suraj reconciliation a light matter. It should be gradual.
I even like the idea of Bhoomi slowly and grudgingly gaining space in Mansen's heart. They should show people in shades of grey and not all black and white. Remember when Satya died, Mansen was shaken too, though he was putting himself in Siddharth's shoes? He did not want anyone killed. Even Siddharth told Arjun in the last episode that Mansen never asked Baisa to choose between them. If the serial is going to continue for a year or so, it better start exploring the psyche of the characters more deeply.
I also like the way the Suraj-Manasvi relationship is being handled. Arjun-Bhavri fans, please forgive me, but I think it is unfolding well. It would be nice if Bhavri now treats him and his presence like he used to treat her when she longed for him. Friendship cannot turn into love or passion so soon (as often described in the fan fic, which I enjoy reading).
